I often wonder how those baseball bat squashes manage to hide in the foliage. Or those fat cucumbers that I don't see from one angle, but then I look from across the garden and there they are.
What did the boys make for supper?

I assume it's the color that allows them to hide so easy. Natural defenses? The random one here and there is no problem as the animals love them when they are huge.
They made what turned into sloppy joes.
I miss having chickens when those big squashes turn up!
