Virtual Reality Promised a Revolution—Did It Deliver?
Technology is something that has a definitely found itself into a place which has got itself integrated in our lives two deeply that in every aspect of our life you will find something that has to do with the technology itself which is actually so much involved in everything that right from our behaviours and even our personality is getting influence by technology in a very big extend which has made our world a completely different place then what it use to look like and everything is getting transformed every single day which is why there a lot of things that are popping up everything will be and even though we have progress white or not the future seems even more interesting in terms of Technology itself Especially to look back the way that we have travelled so far.
Over the years, there have been a lot of massive breakthroughs that have been accomplished with the help of technology. We are now able to do a lot of such things that used to be impossible at one point in time. Many things are so great that they have actually been Revolutionary as well. Still, at the same time, some things actually make their presence quite questionable and definitely overrated to a very big extent.
Whenever there is a conversation about overrated technology, there are a lot of things that pop up in that conversation, but what I personally feel is definitely going to be one of the most overrated things is obviously going to be virtual reality itself, because it is one of those things that has actually been around for a very long period of time. The implementation has been going on for the last few decades, which has definitely improved quite a lot. However, it is still something that is not going to be living up to the Expectations that it has or even the purpose that it is believed to be solving.
Virtual reality is basically going to be providing us one of those opportunities to be having a much more immersive experience to be interacting with a lot of objects in a virtual aspect which has got itself implemented in many games and a lot of other aspects as well but at the same time it is obviously something that is a very overrated Technology just because it is nougat near to what it was expected to be or at least what it was marketed as along with all of the limitations that it has with itself mix it something that is very much not justifiable.
VR is something that obviously is having a lot of hype with itself, but at the same time, it is not very practical because it is actually very costly to exist with the hardware needed to run it. After all, there are a lot of solutions that have been tried to be implementing us cheaper alternative which can be making it available for massive audience which has actually never gained much attraction just because they have never benable to give a much better immersive experience in that way and along with that mass adoption is obviously not going to happen in this particular manner which is why even though it has got a lot of potential and Hive it is never got itself to the masses.
Adding on to all of this there is a lot of problem with the content that is available to be utilise on these platform which makes virtual reality a much less vast please to be exploring because there are not many developers who are actually going to be feeling like they are going to be developing something that is going to be compatible with virtual reality platforms because there are very less amount of content in terms of even games or movies that are accessible on virtual reality platforms along with that there are a few applications that are being built and developed but all of them are still something that are far away from being something that can actually be marketed as a finished product.
However there are a lot of use cases as well where virtual reality is actually very much helpful even in the modern lifestyle that we are living because it has been solving a few problems as well or at least having to be making itself as a very good alternative in many situation such as in terms of simulating something which can be a very tricky part has been solved by virtual reality as many Pilots were training to fly and aircraft often are going through many simulation drives which are actually going to be very much helpful to be making them have an experience without actually going on to an airplane and similarly there are a lot of other cases where virtual reality is actually very much helpful.
I personally feel that virtual reality as a technology is very overrated at this point of time but I also feel that it is not useless as well because it actually can be very much helpful to be implemented in many aspects of our life but is the same time the way it is looked upon as is something that it is a very innovative technology and can be a very big Revolution and it has been in this way for many decades now which is why there have been a lot of Expectations and Hype built around this particular kind of Technology but it has failed to meet any of them.
It is obviously going to be very interesting to see how virtual reality is going to be looking like in a couple of decades away from now because it is something that is still under development and getting better every single year in some or the other way and we might see even more implementations of it in different ways in the coming years which can actually make it very much usable and it can actually hold on to its height factor and make it look like the way people promised to look like and that is going to be something that people still are going to be expecting from VR in the coming decades.
