I got reminded of people who said that they complained about certain (licensed) professionals who failed to deliver good services to them, only to find out that while they were "successful" in having the licenses of such professional service providers revoked, they only lost money and time in the process !INDEED. ๐Ÿคฏ

Indeed, a license means nothing, other than perhaps buying into the lie that we need to pay to exercise our inherent rights. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

I have already played a few games where "licenses" in-game (part of the game itself, not those games where you buy only the license and not the full game) are directly said to be unnecessary (or something similar), but then the "government", "council", or whatever powerful in-game "organization" does require them. ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿค“

Licenses in a game can serve a purpose, since they created the whole framework. Licenses in life are scams to the max, because they're making us pay for the the 'privilege' to exercise our own inalienable rights. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

I edited my previous comment to prefer to licenses right within the game !INDEED, to explicitly differentiate from the "licenses" that gamers "buy" to be allowed to play the game. ๐Ÿคฏ

What's so !WEIRD is that even if such players already "bought" certain games (their "licenses" in particular), they won't be able to play the game if they haven't been online for a week or so (because the game client must connect to its corresponding server periodically). ๐Ÿคฏ

OK, and so noted.

That seems like a very poor design choice and implementation. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

While that may be a "(very) poor" decision, those games seem to still generate a whole lot of sales though. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคฏ

It's a mystery to me as to why, as I'm so picky about games now, along with everything else, that most are of no interest to me. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

@savvyplayer told me that players who are pressured into completing a game that they realize they don't like just because they paid a lot for it may be victims of "dark patterns" !INDEED. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜…

I !HOPE that my previous comment is much less confusing now !INDEED after editing it! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜…

I also remember some games coming for "free" (emphasis on the quotation marks) with some games that are purchased (usually at higher than usual prices). ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜…

Well, I haven't checked (since I tend to just keep moving forward), but you're going to have a lot of very grateful digital archaeologists.

That sounds like a great scam. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

Some people would say that such product bundles (games in this case) that come with higher prices than when bought separately in most cases is just usual marketing! ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜…

I assume that you also mean underrated products, whose manufacturers focus their resources on improving their products !INSTEAD of spending for marketing !INDEED. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿค“ The same goes for service providers. ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ˜

Some providers of products and services !INDEED provide very well, such that practically zero spending on marketing is made. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ Satisfied customers would promote such sellers for free, and even more effectively than paid marketers. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜

Reviews for sellers that are unpaid and unbiased !INDEED significantly affect each seller's future sales. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ Some reviews have enough impact to (temporarily or permanently) stop a business (even a large one). ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคฏ

A business focusing on excellent service and products, even without advertising, can indeed do very well, and good unsolicited reviews can certainly make a huge difference. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’šโœจ๐Ÿค™

On the other hand, there are some companies spending too much on marketing, such that people are already aware that at least half of the price of each company's products is for (more) marketing !INDEED. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜…

It's possible that such companies are having an "expensive marketing experiment" to determine how much marketing affects the purchasing decisions of people !INDEED. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคฏ
