Computer with internet has made thr world a global village, by digitalizing everywhere.
As billions of people are using internet, it raises concern on the underage. In this book, I will look at the teenagers.
Teenagers (age 12 to 19) of this generation has experience rapidly shift in technology, witnessing smartphone and AI technology. Social Media has helped a lot of teenagers in academically, research, content creating, and lots more. With this, there are so many ways in which the teenagers abuse the social media, watching porn, involving in cyber crime, engaging in social media abuse and some times falling into the trap of sex traffickers.

Social media has made e-learning more effective than before, helping the children gain extra knowledge by watching YouTube tutorials, impactful Facebook reals, engaging in outside school interactions with their pears to help .
Social media expanse the childrens mind outside the educational system, it makes them see beyond what their teacher teaches in school.
With the help of social media, students can now focus on a particular skills without learning it in school. It can expose you to motivational quotes daily by just following an account that post such everyday.
Social media exposes students to people outside their society, this can make them connect with people outside, share knowledge and build academical relationships.

Social media which is very beneficial to teenagers also has the ability to destroy them.
As social media grows to billions of users, people has began to misuse it in different ways like cyber bulling, sex trafficking, cyber crime, watching pornographic contents and spending more time with it wrongly.
The case of cyber crime has risen in Nigeria, it has reach a point where a child of 14 years will buy a Benz without any active occupation, impersonation, this has influence the children getting into teenage age to start thinking of making it quick without a skill.
This has cause related crimes like human rituals(sacrificing humans to make money), running a sex job, like hook-up, sharing of nudes online, using social media to bully someone, these has really done worst to teenagers because all this can be done without the knowledge of their parents.
Teenagers are more addicted to social media than thier studies, these addictions has withness children spending hours on their phone, pulling away from crowd and choosing to stay alone, sometimes it may be because what he/she is doing on the social media is not right.

Social media which made learning simple and effective also made children involved in bad habits.
The social media can also be controlled by parents to help them monitor what their children is using them for. This will help make parents have idea of what so ever their children are doing .
A case of a child who committed socide because of chatting with AI, if this parenting control was embedded into it, the parent would have been aware when their son has been more engaged with the ai to stop him from building that trust for it.
Social media identity scheme: since the government has the data of every citizens, I believe the same identity should be used for creating a social media accounts, so as to help thr social media company controls what the teenager could search, watch, and listen. This will help make social media more centralized and beneficial to kids and teenagers.

There's a proverb that says "the food the a man love, another man hate the food", everything has advantages and disadvantage.
Social media has brought the world to an edge where children involves themselves in some act that is shocking to adults,like cyber bulling, crime, kidnapping and so on.
But it has build a wold platform that will and has enlightened our teenagers to the world beyond their fathers house.
Children can now learn, study, gain new skills with the help of social media, a child can learn codding even without attending school for that.
Social media will be better if parental controls is included and awareness should be made to children concerning the consequences of abusing it.
