The Indispensable Role of Physical Activity in Counteracting Modern Sedentary Lifestyles
Today's topic is why physical activity is so important for our lives. These days, we all work, and we do that work sitting down. You could say that we spend the entire day sitting in front of our laptops or working while seated. We spend a significant portion of our lives sitting in chairs, and because of this, our bodies become sedentary. From morning till night, we're constantly in front of our laptops, and there's hardly any movement in our lives. Physical activity, such as going to the gym, exercising, running, or doing anything that involves your body moving up and down, making you sweat, and getting your heart rate up, offers numerous benefits.

When we engage in physical activity, it doesn't just benefit us physically. It also provides significant mental benefits. If you spend a lot of time looking at mobile phones, laptops, or any electronic devices that emit blue light, you'll experience headaches and possibly even migraines. But when you switch from that to physical activity, such as running, doing some exercises, or stretching, it creates a balance in your body. This releases certain chemicals in your brain that calm your mind. This physical activity is very beneficial in your daily life because it improves blood circulation and increases oxygen levels.
One major benefit of physical activity is weight control. In today's world, obesity has become a common problem, where three out of every four people have a protruding belly. They constantly eat junk food and lead lifestyles that cause their bodies to become completely out of shape. People often tweet about obesity casually, but it's a very dangerous disease because your body can expand excessively. Therefore, you should always keep a record of your calorie intake and other relevant factors. When you engage in physical activity, you burn calories, lose fat, and reap many benefits. Going to the gym and doing heavy weight workouts isn't necessary. Even 30-40 minutes of walking or running is sufficient, as running and walking are among the most beneficial activities for a normal body.
Physical activity greatly improves focus and concentration. It's especially helpful for students. When we exercise, even a little, blood flow to the brain increases, and our memory and learning capabilities improve significantly. That's why students use it so much. By increasing their physical activity, their academic performance also improves considerably. Just studying isn't enough; the body also needs movement. If you don't want to do anything strenuous, simply walking or playing some physical games like badminton, tennis, cricket, or football will help. This physical activity will improve your overall well-being and greatly enhance your concentration.

In our time, we used to play all kinds of games when we were children. We played whatever we could find, like tag, hide-and-seek, and other such games. We had a lot of fun playing these games, and they were all physical games. We also played football and cricket. But today, a problem is being observed in children: they have become too attached to their phones. They don't even eat without their phones or tablets. This is a huge problem because a child under five years old has a developing brain. If their brain is constantly exposed to screens at this age, it will cause significant problems. You might not understand it, but they only like looking at screens, and this will have very negative consequences. Phones shouldn't be given to children until they are at least 10 or 12 years old.
Ideally, proper smartphones should only be given to those 18 and older. I got my first phone only after completing my first year of college. Think how much later I got a phone! And this was a very good thing because my parents always made sure I wasn't addicted to phones, laptops, or TV. My father used to scold me if I watched TV for more than two or three hours. That's why my mind, or you could say my physical well-being, is much better than most people's. I can run very fast, I walk a lot, and I can easily walk 10-12 kilometers even today without any problem. You also need to think about this and avoid putting too much pressure on your children to use mobile devices or watch screens, because it will hinder the development of your child's mind.

As much as we work hard everyday, must also try to engage in other activities that are important for our overall wellbeing. Things like physical exercise are often overlooked but our bodies need it to develop and function properly.

Huhm, this is so True. And I can very well relate with it, in my house too, until you're done with your safe and you come out with a good result, that's when you're allowed to own a phone. And believe me, it did help us.
I no longer see kids playing those games we play back then, all what they are concerned about is, "mummy, the tab pls." Just phone phone and phone.
It is well with us o.
