That Fall Is Not Fatal, Rise Up
I once heard about a politician in this part of the world who lived almost all his political career without winning anything significant until the last election. He contested at the council level and lost, he stepped it up to the state house of assembly, still without success. He even contested for the federal house at some point, and for the gubernatorial seat, yet without winning. But in all these, he did not give up. For everything he lost, he would pick himself up and contest for a higher position. In the last election, there was a paradigm shift, and a political wave swept across the country, and it was his moment. He took advantage of the opportunity and contested for the Senate. Luckily, he won. This was how he became a Senator. This proves that failure is neither fatal nor final. As long as you can rise up and try again, then success is still very possible.

Contrary to what some people might believe, failure does not actually make you a weakling nor does it mean that you are too lazy for success, but it actually shows that you are human and that you are making attempts. What defines you and makes you who you are is not how many times you failed, but how you have responded to each of the failures and how you have picked up yourself in all of them. Being able to rise up after falling is a mindset, which is built on discipline, and the knowledge that your story has not yet ended. Your situation does not determine when your story ends, you are the one to consciously tell yourself if your story has ended or there is still more that is left.
You also should understand that every fall that you experience actually carries a lesson that should make you better. When you have tried something and did not succeed at it at first, the next time you are trying, you would have gathered some experiences and knowledge to make the attempt better. So you see, even a supposed failed attempt is a lesson in disguise. There are some experiences that you may never get until you have made the attempt first hand. Falling is not a life sentence, neither is it an end nor the final destination, but it is just a bend in your journey. So do not quit, rise up and get going because you still have a lot of possibilities ahead of you.
A lot of the people who have succeeded in various fields of human endeavours are not those who have avoided falling, but those who have risen and have refused to stay down. You may not have avoided what led to the failure, but you can choose to remain down, or to learn, adjust, and then try again with experience and wisdom. In order to rise again after falling, you need courage. It takes a considerable amount of strength to face embarrassment, to admit disappointment, or to even confront self-doubt. Even when the voice in your head tries to tell you to quit, or when you begin to remember your past errors and losses, courage makes you to stand strong and face your fears.

Throughout history, and even in our modern world, there are lots of people who saw failures but never allowed the failures to define them. They rose up and tried again and again until they achieved success. Take the inventor, Thomas Edison, as an example. Story has it that he tried almost a thousand times, which spanned a very long time. This would have discouraged others, but he kept at it. What was supposed to discourage him was part of what motivated him to keep trying. At the end, he achieved success in his invention, not because he never failed, but because he did not allow his failure to make him to stop trying.
You need resilience to be able to build yourself to rise up at the moment of failure. There is nothing of value that you want to achieve that will not place obvious responsibilities on you. If you want to build physical muscles for example, you need to start bodybuilding exercises and keep at it. You are not seeing the stress of training and lifting weights, rather you are seeing the joy of achieving your body goals. Anytime that you are faced with challenges, do not see it that they have come to stop you, rather focus on the good things that you want to achieve.
