Learn To Balance Confidence With Humility
In life, a very powerful quality that anyone should develop is confidence. This is because it gives one the courage to try out something, it strengthens one to persist, and it helps one to believe that they can achieve their goals. However, confidence should be mixed with humility, otherwise it will simply turn to arrogance. On the other hand, having humility without confidence can lead to self-doubt. So one should learn how to balance between having confidence and being humble. There is a kind of strength that you achieve when you strike a balance between humility and confidence; it literally makes you unstoppable.

Confidence is the very trait that makes you to step forward even when everyone else is being hesitant. It helps you to act even when fear is present, to speak even when your voice is shaking, and to keep going even when the journey seems tough or when things happen unplanned. Minus confidence, a lot of dreams that people have will remain untouched, because they will think they are not capable of going about it. But when you see yourself as "something," then you will begin to act accordingly, and begin to take steps. It will prompt you to act differently, take steps, become initiative, embrace challenges, which will lead to your growth and development.
You have to understand that, even though confidence is needed, you still have to mix it with humility. It is humility that will remind you that you are not above learning, that you are not above correction, and that you are not the only one with value. This will help keep your attitude in checks, and help you to understand that there are many more things that you need to learn. More so, when you are humble, you will understand that success is not achieved based on just solo efforts, and that you still need people. This will help you to relate better with people. Humility is part of the qualities that help you to build meaningful relationships, improve on yourself, and become a better person.
When confidence and humility blend together, they create a very powerful mindset right within you. You will believe in your abilities and capabilities, yet you will be also open and willing to learn more because you have not known everything that needs to be known. It makes you to pursue your goals boldly, yet you will remain open-minded and respectful. That is, you will celebrate your wins, yet you will not look down on people. This quality does not only make you successful, but it makes you admirable. There are some supposed successful people you will see and you will find them repulsive because of their attitude. But with humility and confidence, when success arrives, it also makes you admirable.

If the confidence and humility are not balanced, a lot of challenges might arise. For example, having too much confidence without humility can simply make the person feel like they know everything or that they are better than everyone else. This kind of person may ignore advice, underrate other people, and may even stand the risk of making avoidable mistakes. You will be surprised how arrogance can isolate someone and limit their growth because they stopped learning. More so, it can also make people to keep away from the person because they will find their attitude repulsive.
On the same hand, having too much humility without confidence might hold you back. This is because you may begin to doubt yourself, and it may lead you to missing opportunities, and you may become too scared to take steps. This is not because you do not have ability or capacity, but because you lack the confidence to give expression to it. This is why you have to remind yourself daily that you are something, and that you cannot achieve your goals. You may not be everything, but you are definitely not nothing, so you are something. Believe in what is within you, but be open to learn more. Also be proud of your progress, but yet remain respectful to others. Learn to speak with confidence, but yet listen with humility. These are part of the ways to balance up between confidence and humility.
