From Impossible To "I'm Possible"

A lot of the great achievements you see today were once thought to be impossible until it is achieved. I once read about what a very respected member of the Royal Science Community said many decades ago. He said that humans flying in a heavier-than-air metals are impossible. He could not believe the possibility in it even as a scientist. Well, the Wright Brothers proved him wrong when they invented the airplane. You cannot conclude something as impossible because it has not yet been done. Trust me, in the world we live in, there is almost no limit to what can be achieved. This is why it is said that impossibilities only exist in the mind.

Even in the presence of challenges, the person with a possibility mentality will see them as hidden opportunities. The difference between "impossible" and "I'm possible" is not in the prevailing situation or the presence of challenges, but it is in the mind of the person facing it. Some people will see negative things even in a purely positive situation. On the other hand, some people will still see positivities even in the face of grossly negative situation. It is not where you are or what you are facing that actually defines the outcome of your life, but how you have responded to them. You may not be able to determine your situation, but you have a choice of how to respond to it.

There are times when you may be facing a situation where it will look as if the odds are against you. In that moment, it will look like the dreams are far, like the mountains are too high, like the valleys are too deep, and like the paths are rough. But in all these, you need to keep reminding yourself that impossibilities are not the final destination, rather they are reminders that you can actually go higher and do better. Over the course of history, and even in this present time, the word "impossible" has been proven wrong on many occasions. According to history, the light bulb seem to be impossible until Thomas Edison defied the odds of repeated failures and invented it.

Everyday, old records are broken and new records are set. A lot of what seem impossible yesteryears are now cheaply possible now. Who would have thought about using a small piece of device to talk to someone thousands of mile away? But now, we have the mobile phones of many types and even some other communication devices. I was watching the Olympics of some years back where Usain Bolt broke the world record and it was fascinating. No human had ever achieved that until he did it. In the same way in life, it will always look impossible until it is done.

In order to turn impossibilities to possibilities, you have to positively align your mindset. It is what you think in your mind that will manifest into what you act on the outside. If you constantly think that you cannot achieve greatness, then it will reflect in your actions - you will see yourself procrastinating excessively, you will not focus on what you are doing, you will lose motivation. But when you see yourself that you are able to achieve greatness and do what you set your mind to do, it will motivate you to go all out and pursue your goal. Your actions are basically a byproduct of what you have thought in your mind. Think possibilities to achieve possibilities.

Anytime you are faced with any situation that may look difficult, or maybe when challenges come your way, do not be quick to conclude that "it cannot be done." Everything that looks like a "no" can become a "yes" by believing, then mixing your belief with determination, persistence, and creativity. Believe that you can achieve your goals, then start from where you are, use what you have, keep going, you will be surprised how your dreams will become reality.

Always remind yourself that the word "impossible" is not a call to stop, but it is a test of your willingness to keep going even at the presence of challenges. Right inside the word "impossible" there is still a hidden truth which reads "I'm possible."

Thanks for reading

Peace on y'all
