Mamá Cila cumplió sus 77 años, mi abuela materna llegó a vencer otro año más estando fuerte y demostrando que todavía tendremos abuela para rato.

Este año mi abuela se lo ha pasado en gran parte viviendo con nosotros por lo que tratamos que sus experiencias sean el doble de agradables, poco a poco nos hemos empecinado en modificar sus costumbres y creo que algo hemos logrado. Ella es una persona golpeada por la vida y sus pérdidas, ya ha enterrado a dos de mis tíos por lo que se había sumido en un estado depresivo del que la hemos sacado poco a poco, si bien el dolor lo tendrá siempre por lo menos no detendrá a su corazón de recibir felicidad.

La familia es de las cosas más bonitas cuando sabemos vivir junto a ella pequeños momentos, sonreír sin parar, bromear hasta de lo más mínimo, asumir que el tiempo se va volando y no quedarnos con eso, al contrario, apreciar cada vez más sus segundos, este día no fue la excepción.

Preparamos un almuerzo diferente, y en la tarde quisimos endulzarnos un poco y complacer a la cumpleañera con ensalada fría que es su plato favorito, mi abuela prefiere comer ensalada fría hasta en el desayuno.
Encargamos un pequeño dulce para compartir y brindamos con refresco.

Mi tío que vive en el mismo barrio se unió a la celebración, se puede decir que tuvimos una tarde increíble, porque a pesar de todo, reímos, bromeamos, sacamos muchas fotos y nos endulzamos el paladar.

Mom Cila turned 77, my maternal grandmother got to beat another year being strong and showing that we will still have a grandmother for a while.

This year my grandmother has spent a lot of time living with us so we try to make her experiences twice as pleasant, little by little we have insisted on changing her habits and I think we have achieved something. She is a person beaten by life and its losses, she has already buried two of my uncles so she had plunged into a depressive state from which we have taken her out little by little, although the pain will always have it at least it will not stop her heart from receiving happiness.

The family is one of the most beautiful things when we know how to live small moments together, smile non-stop, joke even the slightest, assume that time is flying by and not stay with that, on the contrary, appreciate their seconds more and more, this day was no exception.

We prepared a different lunch, and in the afternoon we wanted to sweeten up a little and please the birthday girl with cold salad which is her favorite dish, my grandmother prefers to eat cold salad even at breakfast.
We ordered a small sweet to share and toasted with soda.

My uncle who lives in the same neighborhood joined the celebration, you can say that we had an amazing afternoon, because despite everything, we laughed, joked, took a lot of photos and sweetened our palates.
