Hay un proyecto del que escuche hace unos años. Un empresario con una idea y una meta por lograr. Unos jóvenes entraron a robar en la compañía y los atraparon. Su idea cambiaría la vida de ellos, no los iba a entregar a las autoridades, ellos tendrían que entrenar y jugar rugby, la compañía les pagaría el entrenamiento y representarían al país. El proyecto se llama Alcatraz.

Cambiaron el arma por un balón, me encanta esta idea e iniciativa. No todo fue color rosa, el porcentaje de éxito no esta asegurado, pero que cambio en la vida de estos jóvenes, de esta compañía, de esta ciudad. No todos lograron cambiar, pero ese porcentaje que le puso empeño, al que le ofrecieron la oportunidad de lograr algo por el esfuerzo físico, fue maravilloso. Desde que lo oí me encantó divulgarlo para que llegue a otros un propósito de vida y cambio.
Proyecto Alcatraz es un programa de reinserción social para jóvenes y adultos con problemas de conducta, a través de la formación en valores, educación para el deporte.

There's a project I heard about a few years ago. An entrepreneur with an idea and a goal to achieve. Some young people broke into the company and were caught. His idea would change their lives. He wouldn't turn them in to the authorities; they would have to train and play rugby. The company would pay for their training, and they would represent the country. The project is called Alcatraz.

From the moment I heard about it, I loved sharing it so that a life purpose and change could reach others.
Project Alcatraz is a social reintegration program for youth and adults with behavioral issues, through values training and sports education.

Tienen más tiempo que el régimen actual, es un excelente proyecto sin duda alguna, con un buen porcentaje de recuperación de jóvenes. El pueblo donde esta se mantiene contento con estos logros, orgullosos del equipo y de que no haya robos en la zona. No sé si en la actualidad se mantienen así. Un abrazo y agradecida por el apoyo.

No había escuchado sobre Proyecto Alcatraz, pero me parece una iniciativa increíble.
Cambiar la dirección de vidas que parecían perdidas a través del deporte y los valores es algo admirable.
Es cierto que no todos logran transformarse, pero el impacto positivo en aquellos que sí lo hacen vale muchísimo.

Si a mi también me llamo la atención cuando lo leí, ya tienen bastante tiempo y forman parte de la federación de rugby y futbol en Venezuela, donde han participado. Si el cambio fue muy positivo hasta para el pueblo donde esta ubicado el proyecto. Y por supuesto hay un porcentaje que jóvenes que no se recuperan, vuelven a incidir. Agradecida por el comentario y apoyo, me alegra llevar el mensaje a otros lugares.
