Pareciera sacado de las noticias, un instrumento para maltratar al ser humano es impensable para muchos. Pero sin lugar a dudas existe, ha alguien se le ocurrió fabricar la maldad pura. Sentarme a leer las noticias cada mañana me llena de desesperación ante la impotencia de miles de madres, hijos que esperan en Venezuela a sus condenados.

Y yo no estoy allí de cerca, solo viendo los toros desde la barrera de la pantalla. Y aún así resulta impensable que el hombre sea tan malvado. Por allí me preguntaban quien tiene más maldad ¿el hombre o la mujer? Mi primera reacción es defender a la mujer, pero es que la maldad contra su propio hijo, algo que salio de sus entrañas es la maldad más grave para mi.

Pero nosotros los venezolanos siempre tenemos un carácter muy chistoso a pesar de las circunstancias, lo están torturando y están sacando un chiste. Por allí preguntaban ¿que tan segura es Venezuela? y alguien le contesto; tan segura como que se robaron el presidente.

La pera de la desesperación sigue siendo un instrumento que nos esta torturando mientras no seamos libres. Pero la libertad siempre será limitada por nuestra capacidad de defendernos hasta de nosotros mismos. Porque nos metemos en problemas y no hemos logrado salir de ellos por nuestros mismos medios.

En estos 5 minutos que está de aniversario y nos brinda un rincón para expresarnos, dejar huella y pareceres, aún ante el temor que todo se devuelva, que no logremos ver la orilla de estas aguas tan profundas.

It seems like something out of the news; an instrument for mistreating human beings is unthinkable for many. But without a doubt, they exist. Someone decided to manufacture pure evil. Sitting down to read the news every morning fills me with despair at the helplessness of thousands of mothers and children waiting in Venezuela for their loved ones.

And I'm not there in person, just watching the bullfight from the sidelines of the screen. And even so, it's unthinkable that humankind could be so wicked. Someone asked me who is more evil, men or women? My first reaction is to defend women, but the evil inflicted on one's own child, something that came from one's own womb, is the most serious evil in my eyes.

But we Venezuelans always have a very humorous side, despite the circumstances. They're being tortured, and they're making a joke. Someone asked, "How safe is Venezuela?" and someone answered, "As safe as the fact that they stole the president."

The pear of despair remains an instrument that tortures us as long as we are not free. But freedom will always be limited by our capacity to defend ourselves, even from ourselves. Because we get into trouble and haven't managed to get out of it on our own.

In these five minutes, on this anniversary, which offers us a space to express ourselves, to leave our mark and share our opinions, even with the fear that everything will come crashing down, that we won't be able to see the shore of these deep waters.
