Give that back!.... No, it's mine!.... It's mine!....

I held my ears with my palms as I couldn't stand the ruckus being caused by my two siblings.

Tola and Ayo, my two siblings, have been nothing but pain in my ass. They quarrel over everything.

Tola, even though she is older, doesn't mind quarreling with Ayo because she feels he is being pampered since he is the last born and Ayo on the other hand doesn't like sharing anything that belongs to him.

I am on break from school and decided to spend time with my family but it seems nothing has changed. Those two will always be at it.

I couldn't take it anymore one day, so I started making preparations for a nice and quiet time in a nature resort. It's not too far from home but far enough to get me away from my siblings.

It's a very safe place close to a river. All you need is to come with everything you will be needing that will make your stay pleasant which I did.

I told my parents about it and they didn't object, so I took all the things I needed and arranged them in a backpack. I planned to stay there alone for at least three days.

On the day I would be leaving, I left very early before my siblings would wake up as I didn't want them to have any ideas of going with me.

I got there in no time and I notified my parents which they acknowledged. As I dropped my backpack, I took a long deep breath. The place is so beautiful. The trees, the smell of the river and the clean and quiet surroundings made me hug myself in excitement. I just know that I am going to enjoy myself.

I immediately started making my tent, it's a bit big for one person but I can't complain since my mum bought it for me. I think it's good that I would be able to roll around in it however I want.

When I was done with the tent , I ate some food and relaxed, taking in the fresh air. Later on, I wore my shorts and went to the river. I met a few people there. I think they also came there to have a nice time. Their tents are probably on the other side. I waved to them and they waved back.

I stayed there for a while, sitting at the riverbank and dipping my legs in the river, letting the water cool my feet.

I spent some time there before heading back to my tent. I read some romantic novels. Hmmm, life is good.

My first day there was amazing. I thought as I went to sleep in the tent. I was looking forward to the next day and exploring more.

The next day, I woke up a bit late but I didn't mind since I was supposed to be enjoying myself. I got out of the tent, stretching and yawning. I sat down on the wooden chair outside the tent, looking forward to how I would spend my day when I heard some voices close to where I was.

The voices sounded familiar as I heard footsteps coming nearer. I turned towards the direction the voice was coming from and the sight before me was shocking to say the least.

There, in front of me were my two troublesome siblings.

I opened my mouth in shock, seeing them with their backpacks and all.

“What are you doing here?”, I asked as Tola laughed, seeing the look on my face.

“Have you forgotten that we are one?” She said, taunting me.

“How could you leave home and come here?” I asked, still wondering if I was dreaming.

“Well, you left us , so we came here to remind you that we are meant to be together”, She said, dropping their backpacks.

I was stunned to move. I watch her unload all of its contents. I was surprised she came with everything needed without missing anything. This girl is very clever yet she pretends she knows nothing.

“I hope Mum and Dad knew you were coming here?”, I asked as I helped her unpack.

“Who did you think dropped us off?”, she said, giving me a snicker.

“They said they needed time to themselves as well”, She explained further. “Plus we begged her that we want to spend time with you here”.

I shook my head, knowing my mum won't pass up the opportunity to spend time with her husband with no kids to disturb them. I should have suspected her when she gave me an impish grin after I told her not to let my siblings know where I was.

It's a good thing the tent is big enough for the three of us. What was supposed to be a 3-day alone time has been disrupted by these two frolicsome siblings of mine.

In the end, it wasn't all bad as I enjoyed myself despite them disturbing me every second.

I think I would like to do this again, maybe next time, we would all come together as a family.

What do I see?

A blue tent, somewhere in a natural environment.

What do I feel?

I feel relaxed. Taking in the beauty of my surroundings.
