Wednesday walk, Fortress of Santa Barbara in Alicante Spain

Hello everyone in this very interesting community. I really like the topic of writing. I will describe to you my day spent in the fortress of Santa Barbara. I graduated in political science and I got a project that took me to the city of Alicante in Spain.The meetings and workshops we had with people from all over the world lasted several days. At the end, I didn't return home because I liked the city and decided to spend my vacation here. The first thing everyone visits in Alicante is the fortress. So I used one day, Wednesday, to walk around the most famous attraction in Spain.And you'll agree that we have to take a selfie here, after all, we're young and we don't miss this.

The Castle of Santa Barbara, originally Castillo de Santa Barbara, is located on the Benacantil hill, practically in the very center of the city. It is one of the most important historical and tourist attractions on the Spanish Costa Blanca, and its walls offer spectacular panoramic views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea.The structure and shape of the castle are particularly interesting. It extends over several levels. All three levels offer an incredible, panoramic view of the city and its surroundings, the view reaches far out to the open sea of ​​the Mediterranean Sea, and numerous interior spaces are now open for tours and sightseeing.




The castle can be reached by elevator, taxi or minibus. We decided not to use the transport but to walk along the path to the castle.Various events are also held in the castle. We noticed that they were preparing a concert. What I liked was that there were a lot of cafes and on this walk we could take a break, have a cold beer and rest.The castle is open all year round except for those important holidays. In winter it is open for shorter periods and admission is free. After the tour, we went down to the street of flowers. I will write about that next time. Today's trip is over and I'm full of impressions.
