No More Abuse: Restoring discipline
Source
There came a time when my school brought up new rules following the violent attitude of the students towards each other. They played rough, used abusive language, and called one another hurtful names. They disrespected themselves and caused frequent fights. This abusive behaviour continued until some parents started withdrawing their children because of the injuries they came home with.
This broke the principal’s heart as he kept losing students. He knew he could not watch the school fall apart. One day, he gathered the students in an emergency assembly to address the rising abuse among them before it gets out of hand.
He said with a firm voice “This school must be a safe place for every child. From today, no more abuse will be tolerated. Here are the new rules: no rough play or fight, no use of abusive language or name, show respect and report any abuse or bullying.
After that day, things began to change. Students were more careful with their actions and words. The school became more peaceful, and soon, parents who had taken their children away began to bring them back.
The principal smiled again as more parents brought their children back to school. The rules didn’t just stop bad behaviour, they helped build a school community based on respect, care, and safety.
