Dark Days in Summer
It was summer, and there was joy on our street. A woman who had been married for seven years finally gave birth to a baby. Everyone was happy. Her husband was the happiest of all. He loved and protected her all through the pregnancy. He made sure nothing happened to her or the baby.
When she gave birth, the whole street celebrated. People came from far and near to rejoice with them. There was food, drinks, music, and dancing. It felt like a festival. Everyone was planning for the baby’s dedication. It was going to be a big event. People helped with cooking, cleaning, and arranging things.
But just one day before the celebration, everything changed.
The baby, who had been fine, suddenly died. Nobody understood what happened. There was no sickness, no sign, just silence. The mother cried like never before. The father looked lost. He didn’t speak. He didn’t cry. He just sat still.
That day, all the joy disappeared. The food that was ready for celebration was no longer needed. The clothes that were ironed remained untouched. The music stopped. The whole street became quiet. It was supposed to be a happy time, but it turned into a very sad one.
Even though it was summer, it felt like a dark day. That moment remains one of the saddest we have ever seen. Truly, it was a dark day in summer.
