The Philosophy of "Sacrificial Giving"

It is usually a joy for me whenever I have the opportunity to lend a helping hand to another person in genuine need who cannot provide for themselves. I see it as part of the purpose for which I exist on earth. People say it is wrong for a person to go out of their way to help others, but my philosophy has never been of that kind. I have people who go out of their way to support me. Why should I be different when another person requires my help? After all, I have come to learn from the Bible to do unto others what I would want others to do unto me, so I give and help, even if it means going out of my way.
My neighbour will always advise me not to be too generous with my limited resources. He will say that he understands how I am still struggling to make ends meet, and as such, I should set boundaries with how I give to others, but the question I always ask myself is what will Jesus do if he were in my situation, and why should I have for tomorrow when the other person has nothing for today?
Charity is a voluntary act of providing for the needy. This entails providing things like money, food, clothes, or even one's time to others who need them. When a person provides services to another person for free, which was intended to be an exchange for money, the act can be described as charitable.
We indulge in charity every day, helping our neighbour to hold their baby when they are busy or engaged in something and are unable to find time for their baby, offering help to take our neighbours children to school or serving as a representative for the parent in schools and other social gathering, going our neighbours and people around us items like food, clothing or any item they might need.
Being charitable is not about having too much; being charitable is about showing love to the next person close to you, it is about going out of your way to see that the next person is okay, and it is about making yourself and your resources present to the neighbour who requires it. When we only decide to give when we have it in mind, it has already defeated the essence of charity.
I love being charitable. I only get angry whenever I don’t have to meet the next person close to me, I don’t give only when it is convenient for me, I give because I believe in giving. After all, I believe that I am casting my bread on the waters expecting it to come back after many days. In the end, it only shows how much you love humanity.

Your neighbor’s advice highlights a side of this topic that many people may find difficult to understand. I’ve also been in a place where giving too much left me empty, not just financially but emotionally.i had lernt that even a kind heart needs boundaries, or it may be taken for granted.
