EVERYTHING HAS A NEGATIVE SIDE

As humans, we always strive to find easier ways to do things, ways that will make us use less time and while maintaining efficiency, many innovations have their roots in wanting to make things better and easier. The creation of AI was also in line with making things easier as well as efficient at the same time. A lot of people, however, are scared that this creation has come to steal their jobs and will render them redundant in no time.

The topic of today, however, talks about the negative effects of AI as a tool on the creativity of humans, having humans preferring to generate images, videos, audios, write-ups and other works of art using AI for the sake of ease and time preservation, rather than putting in their time and creative minds to come up with something.

I once watched a movie where one could make a double of themselves, the fascinating thing about the movie for me was the fact that the real person could sit at home while they send the double of himself to represent him, he doesn't like to be stressed so he will send the double to work, to meetings, and even to dates, since the double was programmed, it served as a perfect representation of himself with no body having to find out. This thought process to me is creativity, however it may sound. I would love a life where I could have a good double to do all the work while I take all the credit and rewards.

The AI is basically that tool that could serve as a double of your thoughts, I mean, you give the AI an idea, and it pictures exactly what you wanted or nearly exactly what you wanted. The AI fuels our creativity to some extent, I presume. Helping you bring your imagination into reality with little stress.

But to tackle this topic with honesty, I will say that AI has not only made most people lazy, but it has also made them think less and be less creative. Many individuals are completely reliant on AI tools and prefer to use them rather than their own brains and thought processes. A graphic designer who spends hours developing well-thought-out designs and processes may end up giving the AI a command to generate the work he wishes to get done. Many students these days don't have time any more for deep research. Without AI tools, they are not ready to do any research of their own; they will rather ask AI to do the extensive research for them, rather than read through and make their findings themselves. Not long ago, a friend of mine who was doing a research degree had almost all his research done by AI. He was happy he didn't need to stress himself, unlike before, because of the existence of AI in recent days, compared to what research was like back then. If a doctoral degree student who was a lecturer in one of the federal universities in my country has this mentality, I often wonder what the students will do.

AI should make things, and our thought processes simpler, and not kill off our thought processes entirely.
