A very insightful analysis. What you say applies not only to sports but also to everyone's life. Many people start out winning everything from the very beginning, and after, they end up with nothing. The other side of the coin is those who have a difficult life at the beginning and in the end achieve everything they've longed for.

I am in the later group, not achieving all in life yet, but clearing the checklist one by one at my pace which is off my peer's pace but I run my own race.
