What Was, Is What Is And What Will Be

What if you had the gift of telling how the future would be? Let me guess, one of the first thoughts that would come to mind for so many people would be how to use that to make a lot of money, am I right? Don't know about you, but I would take advantage of the pump and dump cycles in the financial markets to build wealth.

Bam! There, I said it. The main point of this blog is to talk about cycles.

Does anyone have the power to do that?

I mean, that kind of power should not even be part of the Avengers, because that would defeat every superhero ever. Regardless of their power, if you can accurately predict their next move, you can shield yourself. Wait, on second thought, maybe the Flash would have a chance if he was in Marvel. Yeah, even if you predict his next move, he would move so fast at acting you wouldn't get enough time to circumvent that, I think.

Anyways, it's still a superpower that would be sick to have. I'm sure the villain would harness that hero with the power in some science lab and use it against the other heroes and civilians. Then again, that sounds like the Time Stone amongst the Infinity Stones Thanos was seeking to have ultimate power. The Time Stone could let you control and see both the past and future.

So for those who have watched the Avengers (Infinity War and Endgame):

What if I told you the Time Stone does exist somehow?

Nope, I would be B.S.-ing you if I said there is a Time Stone that I know of. Obviously not in the way the movie portrayed it though, but it does exist in a very subtle way I'm about to explain.

I remember 6 years or so ago I was listening to Jim Rohn, a motivational speaker, self-improvement guru, and entrepreneur. He gave a lecture that made a profound impact on my understanding of life, and I want to share my thoughts on it. He once had a meeting with some executives of a huge company and was asked to give his thoughts on how the future would look like in the next 10 years, which would be in the 80's. The people believed in the kind of knowledge and understanding the man had and therefore his views on that subject were gold to them. I really liked how he answered that question:

"I think in the 80's it's going to be about like it's always been. It's gonna be about like it's always been, it isn't gonna change."

What does it really mean?

Jim's statement confirms the old saying "there's nothing new under the sun."

Do you believe that statement?

To some degree, I do and do not. Let me explain why I do not and then I would tie it to why I do. Some years ago there was nothing like the computer, now the world "today" cannot exist without it. Economies have been built with the help of computers linked together in what we call the internet. That wasn't the case some years back when the statement, "there is nothing new under the sun," was first said. That is definitely something new.

You see, the thing itself is new, but the fundamental idea is not. What's the fundamental idea? Advancement and development of the human race. What's not new is to see new tech pop up and revolutionize the world. Now we have artificial intelligence making a name for itself. Oh, the other thing: Cryptocurrency. Crypto is new, but the fundamental concept of it being a new form of money is not. I'm pretty sure one day, a new type of thing would pop up which is probably better than crypto (might probably be dead or maybe not). Money is not new, but crypto, which is a form of money, is.

I think I have made my point with the analogy.

So what's the understanding here?

There are basic fundamental things that have been, that are, and that will be. If it's morning, say 8 a.m. at your end right now, I bet you a billion dollars (sue me if it doesn't happen) that in about 12 hours, your environment should be dark, well except you are living in those parts of the world where the sun seems to remain till 2 a.m. Yeah, those are some wonders of the universe that people travel to go see because it's not the norm. Apart from those places, everything else follows this exact pattern. If it should get dark in the middle of the day, we call it an eclipse or some historic event where an asteroid would block the reflection of the sun. But if all else remains equal, which it does 99.9 percent of the time:

Day follows night, follows day, follows night.

After the dry season comes the rainy season, then comes the dry season followed by the rainy season...

In the financial markets: Pumps follow dumps, follow pumps, follow dumps...

I could go on and on with these cycles, and funny enough, since I was born, I have never seen a period where the universe deviated from this pattern.

Opposites of situations will play out till the day you die.

Ever been to the hospital? Have you seen those ECG monitors (electrocardiogram)? The proof that a person's heart is beating well, which means he or she is alive, is the ups and downs movement of the monitor. The day it goes in a straight line, it simply means you're out of the universe.

That in itself is telling us that life is a perpetual up and down cycle.

So what do you do with this information?

Plan your life accordingly. The mistake, or should I say trap, that most people fall for is that idea that seasons will remain the same.

No sir. If you're in a pump (relationship, finances, fame, you name it) the next season is a dump. I'm not a doom writer or even writing this to piss you off, I'm just sharing the hard cold reality of life based upon my little observation. So with that in mind, you would prepare yourself for the dump. The ants in the dry season understand it's inevitable that the wet season will come, so they store food up while they have the chance. This is the wisdom you receive in accepting this reality.

Some people, especially celebrities, when they hit the jackpot of fame and money is flowing in like it only knows them, they fail to see that it's just a season, and if they don't utilize it well, out goes their status when the season changes.

So here's the superpower of telling the future and preparing yourself for it.

Opposite situations play out in a cycle till the day you leave this earth. Abundance will follow famine and vice versa, so if you're in any of the seasons in your life, I give you the ability to tell the future: that it's the opposite that will come.

I can't predict when it will come, but it will come.

You can't control the seasons, but you can prepare yourself for each of them. If you are in lack, learn the lessons of how you wasted opportunities while in abundance, so that when it comes again, you won't make the same mistake. If you're in abundance, store up for the days of lack so you will not be in want and become a sorry sight to those who knew you in your glory days.
