The Journey To Gold

Yesterday we smashed the Silver League while playing Frontier ranked play on the Splinterlands website. You can read all about that by clicking the following highlighted link: Climbing the Ranks in Frontier. Today we are battling in the Gold Frontier. Reaching GOLD league allowed us to collect 15 chests filled with digital goodies >> Five cards/ two rare/ three common/ a backers dozen of potions + 11 energy were found in our gold rewards. After hitting the battle-field and completing our daily battles we also managed to collect three packs and nine draw entries. Reminder there is just one day before this season ends so run up that league while you can. Likewise for the Frontier draw -> you have less than one day to collect those raffle tickets. I collected my three daily rewards for today. However timing is on my side as in 10 more hours I get to do it again. Meaning I will have the opportunity to earn more draw entries through the way of daily rewards before the end of this season and everything resets. Lets head to the MANA well to open a couple of those dropped packs we earned from our daily rewards. To get to the MANA well go to the official Splinterlands site and hover over and click the OPEN icon at the top of the home-page. Drop packs in the well to open.

After opening two packs we managed to add 10 cards to our collection. Both packs beat the odds with the first pack giving us an Epic and a Rare with three Commons. The second pack flipped up two Rare's. That is one more than the standard one Rare and four Common pack. Considering we used 0 potions a person can't be mad at that. The Epic card was non other than GLIMMERMANCER. At level one Glimmermancer has four health and an attack of two accompanied by a speed of two. Considering those are level one stats that looks like a heavy hitter to me. The cost to play this card is six mana. Looks like the listed price for Glimmermancer is roughly 0.04 cents. It will take 10 reg foil cards to make a max. Looking at the gold version the going price is roughly 0.48 cents. It would take two gold cards to create a MAX copy. Looking at those two numbers we can conclude that a MAX gold copy will currently cost less than $1.00 USD. A max reg foil Glimmermancer will cost roughly $0.40 cents. Put another way the gold version is 2.5X more costly but yet both still very affordable. That's it for now. As we noted we plan on sharing Splinterlands lore in our created Splinterlands blog posts.
