SPS Stake Holders: Proposals Are Waiting For You (Proposal Location Suggestion)
The other day while I was scrolling the Splinterlands webpage going over its features I seen there was not one, not two but three proposals listed in the proposal section. I made a mental note of such for the reason of reading said proposals when I had the time to do so. I don't usually vote as I'm mainly out of the loop of the greater on-goings within Splinterlands. Being not as familiar with the on-goings as I once was I think not voting is my best course of action. Today I found the time to do some reading and decided to log in to my Splinterlands account to view the proposals. Upon doing so I realized getting to the proposal page isn't as prevalent as it once was. There was a time when a notice would popup letting players know New Proposals are available for voting. That time has passed and understandably so as the frequency of the popup was slightly annoying.
This prompted me to look on the main page for other indications that there are proposals ready to be viewed and voted on. I did not see any such indications. This lead me to search for the proposal section. I know what you are thinking (@rentmoney aren't you an OG Splinterland member? Shouldn't you know where these things are located?), to that I answer (Yes I Do but what about those that don't). I believe that something as important as the SPS Proposal listings should be outlined somewhere on the main-page. I would recommend it having its own direct link as photo-shopped in the opening image in this very post. If that is not possible I believe there should be a link listed in the drop-down menu under the PLAY Icon. I suspect the PLAY icon is the most clicked icon so it is here out of all the other icon options that the PROPOSAL link will be most viewed. Currently to get to the proposal section one needs to click the SPS Wallet and its there that we can see when Proposals are ready to be read and/or voted on. A great spot indeed as its directly within our SPS wallet. Lets have two great spots for such an important aspect of Splinterlands.
What Is A Proposal?
A proposal is a suggestion to change something in the Splinterlands game or ecosystem. Players with staked SPS can vote for or against these proposals. Each staked SPS token will be worth one vote, so the more SPS tokens a player has staked, the more they will be able to influence the results of the votes.
What Is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a #play2earn game hosted on the Hive Blockchain. Assets that have real monetary value are used to earn rewards/ more assets in a robust gaming economy. Such assets are tradable on-site or on many different secondary markets such as TribalDex and Hive-Engine. Don't have a Splinterlands account yet. Well you are in luck because I just so happen to have an ambassador code. Clicking it will start the sign up process. What is an ambassadors code? Its a code that will give me credit for your sign up at no cost to you. Here it is: https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rentmoney Don't want to use my ambassador code (no worries) here is a direct link that will forgo any credit to me: https://splinterlands.com.
What Is The Hive Blockchain?
It's many things including but not limited to: A source for information. A host spot for many play2earn games. A place to build your own business. A place to run a blog account. A place to interact with your online friends. A place to expand your knowledge. Your imagination is the limit to what the Hive Blockchain has to offer and could be to you. Creating and curating content on the Hive Blockchain will give you the opportunity to earn the Blockchains main currencies known as Hive and HBD (Hive Backed Dollars).
As you can see in the last screenshot above there is currently (today's date 09/09/2025) one proposal ready to be voted on. That proposal is proposal #238: Renew and Adjust Clayboyn's Contract. In other words a contract renegotiation between Clayboyn and the SPS DAO (You the SPS stake holder). The details of the proposal are as follows. If proposal #238 passes the SPS DAO will continue to employ @clayboyn in the role of Project Manger until either the DAO submits and passes a proposal to terminate that employment or @clayboyn chooses to resign at the end of a monthly billing period. The details of the employment will be as follows: () The rate of pay will be increased to $6,000 per month beginning in October 2025. () @clayboyn may take up to 2 weeks of paid vacation during any calendar year at times that he determines will not be disruptive to the DAO or ongoing projects. () @clayboyn will notify the SPS DAO Foundation board of any vacation plans.
If you would like to read the full Proposal post here it is. Simply click the highlighted link to do so: SPS Governance Proposal - Renew and Adjust Clayboyn's Contract. To vote on the proposal you will need to log in to Splinterlands > Go to the SPS wallet section > Click the Proposal link within the wallet section > this will bring you to the proposal page > click either the up arrow (to support the proposal) or the down arrow (to vote against the proposal). It is also in this section you will notice an icon that states DRAFT Proposals. It is there where you will find the proposal to extend staking rewards for SPS. If proposal #237 passes the SPS DAO will reallocate 25,000,000 SPS from the remaining unused LP incentives to be utilized for extending SPS staking incentives. This will provide enough tokens to ensure that SPS staking incentives continue through the end of 2026. To visit proposal #237 official post click the following highlighted URL: SPS Governance Proposal - Extend Staking Rewards. To vote on said draft proposal follow the same steps for voting as outlined above for proposal #238. What do you think of these proposals? Are you going to vote? Tells us all about in the comment section below. We look forward to reading your opinions and suggestions.

Great post, a lot of people don't care about proposals and that's fine. But lots of people just need a little help finding/ navigating their way around parts of the game they haven't explored yet. I think for the good of the SPL community better education can only help.
Thanks,
I agree, there's allot to explore and its easy to overlook some aspects.

This game has been around for a long time and changes have become much more necessary, otherwise people's interest in the game will not return and then we will not see its price go up.
Evolving is important to the equation that is Splinterlands.
I always vote for proposals as soon as I spot the red notification, it's annoying to look at and of course it should be in all SPS stakeholders incentive to vote for active proposals.
Nice, its always wise to utilize ones vote.
Thanks for sharing! - @yonilkar

Not sure if you did it on purpose, but almost all the text is in bold on my screen, makes it a bit tough to read.
Thanks for the reminder on the proposals, I try to vote on them and participate on important issues.
Noted, thanks for the input. I always appreciate those who point out such things.
You're welcome, good job with the voting.
