Arcade Colony: Hive Mobile Gaming (Free To Play Components)

(Edited)

I read an exciting post some days back and thought I share it with yous. For those who frequent the @rentmoney blog you know allot of my content is gaming related but more specifically Splinterlands and Arcade Colony related. As I was scrolling the Arcade Colony tag located on the hive Blockchain (#arcadecolony) I bump into a post titled Nearly there... Hive Mobile Gaming via F2P+P2E games. Now some days have past and I'm wondering why more aren't talking about this. To me this is exciting stuff. I'm not big on mobile but I know allot of others are and that means a step closer to a bigger player pool. Instead of me rambling on let me quote the linked post, [Quote]"Ok, we're (Arcade Colony) getting really close. I'm hoping by the end of September we'll have a hive based mobile first website for arcade colony, free to play aspects in our games, and the first web3 mobile/browser app templates for you to use.". [End-Quote] That's a big sentence or two right there. One that has allot of positive and exciting details being shared with us the Hive Community. Lets break those two impactful sentences down a little.

by the end of September we'll have a hive based mobile

Hive based mobile app. That within itself is exciting news. Just about everyone has mobile these days. Ease of use, broader reach into the gaming world. This alone is a noteworthy tidbit of information but the announcement didn't stop there.

free to play aspects in our games

Did someone say FREE. It doesn't get much better than that. Seems as if moves are being made to increase interest and FREE is a word that will do just that. Once again this is noteworthy upon itself but that's not all.

The first web3 mobile/browser app templates for you to use

The first, meaning no other before it. I look forward to seeing this. Each and everyone of these is noteworthy stuff but we got it all in two swift sentences.

A better user experience is having hive keychain mobile on your phone, browsing whatever website you want or doing something in an app, getting to a thing that needs a signed transaction, and getting a prompt from hive-keychain mobile app. We have that working now on the backend and on QA servers for our mobile first website. Arcade Colony will be the first fully functional website that ties directly to hive keychain mobile app, and v1 is nearly done. Hopefully it's launched by the end of the month.

What we've done isn't just build 1 mobile site, but we have built a process for turning mobile first designs into web3 mobile apps. So, when our partners choose to build with us we'll have the ability to convert their browser apps (which work on desktop and mobile) into app store apps with a rapid process.

We here at the @rentmoney blog believe #play2earn is the future of gaming. We got a taste of what that might mean for games in such a market back in 2020/2021 when Splinterlands exploaded with new players and green candles. At that time new assets being introduced to the Splinterlands game were sold out quicker than they were being listed. Nothing stayed on the shelf for long before someone walked by and snatched it up. We also got a taste of what that could mean for the Hive Blockchain which host such games with many innovators and entrepreneurs getting ready to create more. Around that explosion back in 2021 the Hive Token was trading at $3.40 USD and we believe Splinterlands/ Play2Earn was one of the catapults that helped the Hive Token reach such heights. We here at the @rentmoney blog believe that there is many roads to success for Hive and one of those roads is WEB2 investing in HIVE through in-app purchases which isn't just limited to gaming. Gaming just has such an audience that in-app purchases is the norm. Gaming is just the doorway and once it opens we believe non-gaming apps will find success in doing the same. App purchases so smooth that the end-user of such apps won't know if they are on WEB2 or WEB3 nor do they need to. They are just doing what they do; participating in the purchase of products while using their favorite Hive Blockchain app to do so. If you are a builder the time to build is now. If you like stacking tokens the time to do so is now. Your future self will thank you. No financial advice has been given in this post. Always do your own research before investing any of your hard earned currencies into any project or product. Thanks for spending your time with us here on the @rentmoney blog. We hope to see you at our next post.

What Is The Hive Blockchain?

----------------------> As defined by @rentmoney

It's many things including but not limited to: A source for information. A host spot for many play2earn games. A place to build your own business. A place to run a blog account. A place to interact with your online friends. A place to expand your knowledge. Your imagination is the limit to what the Hive Blockchain has to offer and could be to you. Creating and curating content on the Hive Blockchain will give you the opportunity to earn the Blockchains main currencies known as Hive and HBD (Hive Backed Dollars).

Thanks and I agree.

I'm slightly surprised that I haven't bumped into more posts about the announcement post.

Having a mobile app with lots of easy to play mobile games could be just the thing to really open things up around this platform.

Nice concept for gaming even if I didn't dive into it as much due to time constraints. With all what's happening in crypto I guess I need a better schedule to be able to handle them all. :)
