Hello there!

Having completed my earlier travel posts on several interesting countries and regions, including Japan, Maldives, Indonesia, US, Europe, New Zealand and the latest one being Australia, it's time to fly over to United Kingdom!

This was a trip I made in 2014, I was there partly for work and partly for leisure as well. At that point in my life, it was one of the further destination that I have travelled all the way from Asia and it was definitely an eye opener to see how United Kingdom, or more specifically London, looked like. One thing that I remembered vividly was how strong GBP was, and everything was so expensive. For example, even though the numerical digits of the prices were small, because 5 or 10 GBP was easily a lot already. Anyway, time to relive those moments as I share the sights and sounds of my experience!

The fun in London never ends, and this time, we were back from the day trip and there was still some pockets of time left, so I headed to the Emirates Stadium, which is the home of Arsenal football club!

Being one of the major European soccer clubs, it's no surprise that their stadium looked very majestic and it was definitely a sight to behold.

This was such a grand photo/image that anchored the exterior of the stadium.

Some photos of the exterior and the neighbourhood of the stadium. It was pretty quiet and there weren't many tall buildings around too.

The big words Arsenal on the outside and the accompanying photos of the gunners!

We entered the stadium and of course there was a cabinet full of silverware.

Any Arsenal fan would know this man! He was their manager for so many years!

And finally, we were inside the stadium! Just wow! The red seats, the green soccer pitch! Very photo worthy!

We made our way to the tunnel to explore the other parts of the stadium.

Like most soccer clubs, they had different changing rooms for both the home team and the away team, and the difference was quite big! Let's see the away changing room first!

Pretty basic, nothing amazing.

And then let's see the home changing room, which is for the Arsenal players themselves.

They even have an indoor jacuzzi!!!

Their showers don't look much different haha.

They even had an area for the physios to work on the players if they needed a stretch or something!

And because the home team is fixed, here's the display of the jersey at that time! This was in 2014!

Finally, we also saw the press conference room! The place where media conduct their interviews before and after soccer matches.

That's it for the stadium tour of the Emirates Stadium! Very, very grand, and it's probably in Europe that we get to see such big and well equipped stadium, and that's because soccer has a very strong following in Europe. At least compared to Asia. Even though I am not an Arsenal fan, it was still interesting to visit the stadium and get a feel of the matchday vibes!

And that's all I have today! Have you been to London or United Kingdom? Let me know in the comments below!

Finally, thanks for reading my post in the community under World Map Pin!
