Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - We Persevere And Fight On!

Time flies! Just completed the 235th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

Had 6 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 4th!!!

So for the final result, we were 4th out of 10 guilds and got 450 Merits and around 16 SPS! A good bag of SPS! Who knows how much one SPS would go to in this market?

Individually, I had 6 fights this time and I won 3 of them this time! Finished 5th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 3 additional wins for me.

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Gorth and Orella Abadon

Another depressing battle against Quora Towershead. No wonder I was going to win this lineup. Always reminds me that the game still doesn't want to give me a copy of Quora Towershead after 200+ brawls and 80+ Gladius cases.

Without Quora Towershead on the opposing side, I can win a battle. Haha. A perfect 6-0 wins in this one. See? Haha.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

Not sure what to make of this, but I am always happy to get an easy battle and clock a free win. 22 mana and my opponent didn't make full use of the mana to field cards.

Battle 5 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

I was definitely outfought here. The new cards were just too powerful for my old deck and I didn't have a superb deck of Neutral cards anyway. I fielded the best lineup I could and it wasn't enough here.

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Captain Katie

I was no match against such a strong lineup and the entire Magic lineup was led by Alric Stormbringer. My lineup was pretty strong here but my opponent was definitely better.

So that sums up my 6 battles for this brawl! 50% win rate only, helped by free wins, but also wrecked by Quora Towershead. This was a tough battle but we persevere and fight on!
