Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Ouch! Worst Brawl Result This Year!

Time flies! Just completed the 226th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

  • Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

  • Moving Back To Bronze Fray

Had 7 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

  • We Got 7th!!!

So for the final result, we were 7th out of 10 guilds and got 300 Merits and around 10 SPS! Ouch but we take what we get! Who knows how much one SPS would go to in this market?

Individually, I had 7 fights this time and I won 3 of them this time! Finished 3rd within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 2 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

I was quite confident of my lineup for this battle but to my horror, I was just demolished so badly in this one. The opposing Night Reaper was just too strong for me to handle and my team just collapsed one by one to these powerful cards.

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

What is up with all these new cards? The opposing summoner looked very strong and has a ton of abilities for its tank. Even with a Legendary Djinn Oshannus and Isgald Vorst, I was badly beaten in this one. Looks like my ancient cards are getting outdated.

Battle 3 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

I wanted to say we win some, we lose some, but we were not winning any battles at all. This round I finally could claim some responsibility to the loss. I thought my opponent would use Melee cards, hence I paired Ever Hungry Skull with Astral Entity, but that was not the case. I could have also used Larissa Kerato too, so I probably should not have lost this.

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato

This brawl just got worse and worse. 4 battles, 4 losses. Even with cards like Larissa Kerato and Chaos Dragon, and boosted by Delwyn Dragonscale. The opposing Katrelba Gobson hunted my team with the Sneak attacks and I was totally unable to turn it around. Sigh.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

What a messy battle for this one! But amidst all the chaos, we took the win! First win in this brawl!

The Rebirth ruleset made it extremely messy as both our Gladius cards were trying to clock Bloodlust. It got complicated because both teams also used Venari Marksrat and there was Martyr boosts in play as well. I don't really know how I managed to scrape through this win because it was quite evenly matched, but we did it!

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

Another tough battle against an opposing team with Quora Towershead. Fortunately my team was up to the challenge and Axemaster did superbly well in dealing 4 damage per round. And that was enough to give the team a chance to score this valuable win!

Battle 7 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth

An easier battle to round off this disappointing brawl. Gorth once again showed how it is one of the best Melee fighters and tanks for low mana battles, this time even beating a Legendary Gladius card. Also I think I got my strategy right in packing more cards than my opponent and had a better chance getting the hits out first.

So that sums up my 7 battles for this brawl! 43% win rate this time! Super disappointing, and it's probably one of my worst brawls in a while. Can't recall when was the last time I actually didn't win 50% of the battles. Got to improve in the next one!
