The world's first humanoid surgical robot

Souce

The Swiss company LEM Surgical presented the Dynamis, announced as the first humanoid surgical robot in the world, although in my opinion it is semi-humanoid at best, I can't see its legs; This is designed for real surgery rooms, not as a concept, not as a prototype, but as a system already approved and in clinical use.

Unlike many futuristic promises, the Dynamis has already received FDA approval and is being routinely used in spine surgeries in Las Vegas hospitals. The robot was developed for orthopedic and spine procedures, including thoracic, lumbar and sacral regions, its differential is in the architecture of three robotic arms integrated into a single mobile cart.

Two arms directly assist in the precise positioning of two surgical instruments, while a third arm is dedicated exclusively to the navigation camera, ensuring continuous real-time tracking. This set emits the human bimanual workflow, but with something no hand can maintain for hours, constant submillimeter precision.

The system uses advanced tracking and automatic micromotion compensation, reducing inadvertent deviations that can occur even with extremely experienced surgeons. The robot integrates with multiple intraoperative imaging platforms using Dicon data for navigation and surgical planning.

All control, movement, navigation, security, users and data storage is centralized in a single software environment designed to reduce errors and optimize flow within the operating room.

In practice, this paves the way for surgical robots that not only execute precise movements, but also learn from clinical data, adapt to different hospital environments and extend support to the surgeon in real time.

Sorry for my Ingles, it's not my main language. The images were taken from the sources used or were created with artificial intelligence
