Unitree's most recent video shows neither running nor jumping, but something equally revealing, The H2, a 6-foot, 150-pound humanoid, executing fighting moves with controlled precision, direct punches, stable stance, and at the climax of the demonstration, a knee hard enough to remove the armor protecting the chest of the smaller model, the G1.

It is not a combat test as the company itself emphasizes, but rather an experiment in durability and coordination, two critical variables in robberies intended for dynamic tasks. The H2 has 31 degrees of freedom and expanded torque compared to the previous generation, allowing more explosive movements, but with fine control, since its launch in 2024 it is sold for less than $100,000 value which the humanoid sector positions it as an aggressively competitive platform.

The ability to reach 3.3 meters per second already highlighted it for its locomotion, now the demonstration of coordinated force expands that range. The integration between high-power actuators, distributed sensors and high-frequency control meshes suggests that the H2 is entering the zone in which robberies stop just maintaining balance and begin to manipulate impacts in a predictable way.

This advance, however, has implications, published studies indicate that the transition from physical systems to physical systems requires strict safety protocols, especially when the tests involve sufficient force to move objects or other robots or human beings, which is why Unitree reinforces that the demonstration should not be seen as an incentive for imitation outside the controlled environment, even so, the video leaves a clear message for the sector.
