When Convenience Becomes Destruction: The Story of Plastic

Plastic is one such thing that is destroying our world slowly because it is one such thing that does not decompose for millions of years, and due to which it spoils our soil. Due to the deterioration of the soil, that place becomes barren. No crops can be grown there. So reduce the use of plastic as much as possible because single-use plastic is very bad, and it does not decompose quickly, and due to this, a lot of problems occur, and all these problems are solved by more fertilizers, due to which the growth of crops and trees stops, and because of which the environment of that place gets spoiled.

Plastic is used a lot because it is very cost-efficient. It is very cheap, and due to this, it can be made very easily and can be made in very small quantities. That is why most of the companies use paper instead of plastic to pack all their goods because plastic is such a thing that is very cost-effective for them, and due to this, they are able to earn a lot of profit, and plastic is made very quickly. But they do not know how much disadvantage it has. They just make plastic, but the pollution that happens in making plastic also spoils the ad. Then if that plastic pipe goes into water, it pollutes the water. If it goes into the soil, it pollutes the soil. If it goes into the water, it pollutes the ocean. Wherever it goes, it pollutes everywhere. In a way, plastic plays the role of cancer for the environment.

The ones who face the most problems are those that are aquatic species, which are living beings. Those living in water face the most problems because it has been seen in many places that if a turtle has plastic inside its cell or some turtle has plastic in its teeth, then these people face a lot of problems. And the problem of living animals is like if a cow has eaten plastic. If plastic is ingested, then it will lead to direct death because plastic is very harmful. If a cow by chance eats it, then its digestive system is unable to digest it, due to which it falls very sick and is not even able to eat anything.

If there is something that becomes excessive, what do we do? We burn it in the backyard, which can be used as fuel, wood, or whatever. All of them can be used. But plastic is such a thing that we cannot even burn it, because burning plastic releases such a toxic gas that it has a huge effect on the environment, and because of this, there are high chances of climate change. Plastic causes a lot of global warming in the atmosphere, due to which there is a lot of methane gas and a lot of greenhouse effect, and it also releases a lot of carbon dioxide. That is why we cannot even burn plastic.

If you talk about me personally, I earn a lot of money. I use that. If there is no emergency, then I have my own cotton bag. I use that, or I use a bamboo bag, both of which are very sustainable. It is very good for the environment. The cotton bag gets decomposed in the soil and is also very beneficial, and hence you can use it. It does not cause much harm to the climate; hence, use all kinds of products as much as possible. Start avoiding plastic, as plastic is such a thing that is made in large quantities and is required to be decomposed. Then it is very difficult to use it. You too have seen that when plastic is used, a strange thing happens to it, due to which you start getting a headache.

All of us individuals should understand how we can avoid plastic. The government has also taken various initiatives in which it is removing single-use plastic, and we individuals also have to do the same, like if we drink coffee or tea, then we drink it in a cup, so we should remove the cup, and as much as possible, after drinking the bottle, we should destroy it so that it becomes unreusable, or it should be destroyed so that it becomes useless; hence, do all these things as much as possible to reduce the use of plastic and whatever.

Lastly, I will say that plastic is such a thing that makes our bodies hollow because it does not decompose quickly. If we use it, it will release a lot of carbon dioxide, and due to the single use of plastic, there are chances of humans getting cancer. The cup in which you drink tea has a very high chance of getting spoiled because very small particles of plastic enter your body, which is very harmful for you. So avoid plastic as much as possible, and use plastic items as much as possible, because if you drink tea in a plastic bottle, even the normal bottle that you get can cause you a lot of problems because there is a very small amount of pollutants in it. The plastic, which is not visible to human eyes, will be visible through a microscope. Many researchers have also said that consuming plastic is a very bad thing and the government should take strict measures against it.
