How to Stop Overthinking and Start Living

Overthinking is something that we all struggle with. At a certain point, we start overthinking things that don’t require so much attention, or we start thinking excessively about things and start feeling upset and regretful, all at the same time. When you reach adulthood, because there is more pressure on you at that time, then because of all that pressure, you start overthinking more, which you probably shouldn't even do. There are some things that we start thinking about that we shouldn't even think about, but we think all these things because we start working, and there is a huge struggle at one time.

This phase is not like this at all. We have to deal with a lot of things like anxiety and depression. We start overthinking so much that we start thinking about some things which do not even exist. We think about why we exist. We do not disturb ourselves with some things, so all this becomes like a trap. Overthinking becomes a trap. Later, it starts bothering us even more. The truth is that overthinking is just like a disease which comes and goes, but you have not thought about it as much as your nature should always think.

Many people believe that overthinking means being responsible or careful. But the reality is that overthinking has only one place. Fear is often the root of overthinking. Fear of making a mistake, fear of failure, and what are we doing? There is fear, and then there are many unknown things which force us to overthink. Life is about unpredictability; we cannot have any amount of thinking element. Accept that we do all these things on our own.

The best way to remove overthinking is to meditate, do yoga, and stay in fresh air because all these things will make your inner peace happy, and you will start feeling good. Suppose you hang out with people you like. In that case, it makes your inner peace happy and Dopamine will be released in your brain, which will make you feel happy and many times there comes a time when you are even if you feel happy for a short moment. You stop doing overthinking or work because you start thinking about that thing and your happy moments. Whenever you feel overthinking, think about happiness in yourself or think about happy moments, which will reduce overthinking to a great extent.

Whenever you have any thinking that is getting over you, do something and start writing it in a diary or somewhere else because when you write, you are expressing your emotions and this can reduce your over thinking because by writing you are storing your emotions somewhere and later your brain will not remember that thing because if you write it down then after that the brain will think that yes, I have kept it safely. Then he will stop overthinking, so this is a very good solution, and many people do this, that they start writing in their diary or a personal space what they are thinking. This saves a lot of time for those people and is very effective.

The most important thing is that the more you think, the more you will start overthinking, and if you think about it, then you should reduce your thinking. Most of the time, it happens that we start overthinking only at night because we are surrounded by one thing or the other throughout the day, so our brain does not think that much. But whenever we go to sleep at night, our brain thinks about what we did today.

I have not done anything at all, so you should not think about all these things. You list all these things that what can I do and this happens more to those who are adults or those who are about to enter adulthood like people in the age group of 20 to 25, it happens more to them because they feel that if we are not able to do anything then we feel like failures if we don’t achieve anything, so all these things are a big problem. But the solution to this is that if you think less, if you think or even if you do not think, you will have to take action. Thinking too much at night won’t help unless you take action the next day.

One thing I have noticed is that I overthink whenever I am less busy, so I think staying busy helps to reduce overthinking.

The sincerity of this piece is amazing.
I'm a full blown overthinker and you're right! Fear is what breeds overthinking. Many a time, I'm scared of taking that job or taking that bold step. I begin to ask myself, what if it doesn't work out? What if this is not the right step to take and before you know it, I'm stuck.
Like you also said, penning down your thoughts helps to relieve you of that overthinking stress but then you wouldn't know it until you have thought so far into that issue.

Yes!! Instead of overthinking without an out, it is better one start to look for the solution... Just thinking is not a solution.
