How to Build Habits That Last Forever
Building a habit is not difficult, but it requires patience and must be approached strategically. Many people start with strong motivation, but as the days pass, their motivation wanes, and they abandon the habit. Habit should be something that you do for a long time, so that it benefits you, and you should not start with any big thing. Start with a small thing like waking up early or going for a morning run; all these are small things that will give you a clear vision in life, which will give you good motivation and will increase your energy and save your time.
Consistency is the thing that helps you stick to your habit. That consistency is when you think that you don't feel like doing it today. You don't feel like working out or running today. Then you think that if you do it every day, there will be some benefit or the other. Hence, consistency is the key to success. If you do anything every day, then you will get benefit from it sometime or another because many people start it immediately, but then they leave it or do it only occasionally. But if you do that habit every day, which you have thought that you have to do, then it will give you a lot of benefits at the same time.
Every day, one should have a habit of one thing or the other, which will benefit in personal growth, like earlier I used to not wake up early in the morning. Now I wake up early every morning. First of all, I write a blog. Then I do other work. After that, I do household work, and after that, I study. So I have started doing this daily, in which I have become consistent, and I did not get this from any motivation. I started it slowly because I believe that motivation is fine, start is fine, but if you do not have consistency, then that start will not help you at all. But if you are consistent in one thing, like I write blogs daily. By that, I am getting benefit in some way or the other, like my English is improving, or if you do films daily, then your self-development will happen very well.
If you are finding it difficult to make a habit, then there is a very good solution. It will continue for 21 days. If you want to adopt anything, then it is a very good theory that if you continue it for 21 days, then either you will get used to it. Or if you don't do it, then you will start feeling weird. There is a challenge of 21 days. In this, you have to do that one thing continuously for 21 days. If you want to make a habit of it, if you want to go to the gym or run, then do it continuously for 21 days. See, after that, you will get used to it. Then you will start liking that thing so much that if you miss any one day, then you will feel dejected that you are incomplete if you miss even a single day, so you should do it for 21 days, in which you will feel good and will also enjoy.
We are all very busy in our lives. Many people do not have time for this, but I believe that if you utilise your time properly or if you use your time in the right way, then you will always get time to do something of your own, even if you do not have time at all. Even then, if you take out some time and fulfil that habit of yours, whatever it may be, then it will be very good. You will get inner development and self-peace. You will get happiness, which will make you feel good, because many people keep working, and a time comes when their body gives up, and they are not able to do any work. So, to ignore all this, if you start doing a good habit, whether it is running or cycling, then it will benefit your body a lot and will help you a lot in the long term.
In the end I would like to say that forming a habit is a very good thing and sticking to it properly because when you do something with consistency then a very good power comes inside you that yes you can do anything everyday, so all this is very good in general because if a habit is formed, it will give you progress in daily routine. You’ll understand yourself better and see your growth. It will make you patient, and ultimately, it will make your life more beautiful and good.
