Bringing Back the Lost Heart of Being Human

In today's era, there is everything - technology, comfort, progress and a lot more, and there is one thing that is slowly going away from us. Humanitas means that feeling in which we consider someone else's pain as our own, and when we see someone hungry, we give them food for no reason. If someone looks sad, we hold their hand without knowing, and today all this has become a story, and the biggest thing is that we are all the cause of its destruction and also responsible.

Society has now become a battlefield, and everyone is fighting for their separate identity. Caste, religion, colour, language, country, city, everyone has their native 'I am right'. But in all this, we have forgotten that the first and foremost identity is that we are human, but being human is dead. People judge each other. Hit, troll and sometimes hate each other just because of an option. When ego takes the place of society, then humanism comes to an end.

Social media has also deepened this division. On one hand, this platform was made to connect people; on the other hand, it is used to divide people. If someone supports an ideology, it is considered wrong, and if someone speaks against something, he is showered with petrol. In such a situation, things like husband and kindness are limited to only a few. In real life, everyone is getting emotionally disconnected from each other.

Sometimes it feels as if we are no longer human beings. We have just become rules. Hindu, Muslim, rich, poor, conservative, everyone just wants to stay in their comfort zone. People do not accept anyone else's thoughts or problems, let alone their own. This loss of empathy was the first step towards the humanitas' death.

But every darkness ends someday, and in this darkness, there is always a ray of light left somewhere. Humanity is not finished. It is just tired. Sometimes helping an unknown person, opening the door for a stranger, or feeding some poor children. All these are small lights that show that humanity is still alive. Maybe it has weakened, but it is not finished. When does the revelation of humanity begin? When you get out of your comfort zone, and when you listen to someone else's story without judging it. When we see others not just in terms of their status in a relationship, but in terms of their pain and smile. The real Bible of humanity is when we stand up not just for our rights but for others as well.

We can all become a big part of this movement by making small impacts. Listening to someone also has a big impact. Appreciating someone, helping someone, doing something without any reason, adding a smile to someone's status, all this comes together. Let's draw small lines for its revival, and if we humans start doing all this, then the picture can be complete. Where the society can again become a human society, the society which undergoes big changes always starts from within, and we now try to control the biases within us. Sometimes we make someone else our own. When we understand someone, we understand that someone else's struggle and birth may be different. But their emotions, their pain, are the same as ours. Only then is a human being alive, and in the end, we all need Bread, love, respect and security in life. Only the language and folk looks are different, but everyone's needs are the same.

Society is divided, but the heart can still be one. We have to learn again how to spend time; it is also a gift. We have to understand that progress is not due to technology but also to humanity. As long as a poor person does not have slippers on their feet, there is no humanity. Humanity is incomplete as long as a poor person does not have a slipper on his feet. As long as a mother is sleeping hungry and we are watching Netflix, our mission is a failure. As long as we do not feel happy in someone else's victory, the society will remain divided.

Therefore, we must reawaken the humanity within us. We should teach our children not just education but also husbandry. There should not be just competition but also collaboration in the office. We should not only gossip with our friends. We should also ask about their well-being. All these seem like small things. But these have a big change hidden in them, which can shake society.

Wounds heal only when an ointment is applied. Humanity is that ointment which can only heal the divided heart rate. We all need to become that ointment. Perhaps only then will a new sun rise in this divided society, where no one will be alone. There will be no love, and everyone will be just a human. The most beautiful face of this world is visible only then. When there is humanity, we can all bring that face together. You just need to pause for a while. You need to think and then take a step. Perhaps that one step can become the turning point of someone else's life. Perhaps that very thing is a new nature for the humanities.
