Beyond Entertainment: The Psychological Refuge of Story-Driven Gaming

I really enjoy playing games, and not just because they're fun. I also enjoy playing games because I didn't have many friends until recently. I didn't like being around a lot of people; I always preferred being alone. I always liked it when no one talked to me or bothered me, or you could say I liked it when no one ever invited me to any parties. I was that kind of person. I always enjoyed being alone. I liked talking to myself, so since I didn't have much else to do at that time, I started playing games. And I really enjoyed it. I especially liked story-based games. I'm not talking about multiplayer games; I mean the normal story games that you play alone.

Initially, I started playing games on my phone, games like PUBG, Free Fire, Clash of Clans, and Clash Royale. I played all of these very openly and regularly. Then, gradually, I started playing slightly better games after my dad bought me a PC. It didn't have the best specifications, but it was good enough to run some high-end games. So, I slowly started downloading games on it, and I played a lot of games. To this day, I can say I've completed over 100 story mode games, and that's no small feat, because very few people have played that many games. I'm a huge gaming enthusiast. Currently, I have a PC with a 2-terabyte SSD, and 1.5 to 1.10 TB of that is filled with games—all the games I like and play regularly. So, you can imagine how much of a gaming fanatic I am!

Another important thing is that I feel really good about myself when I complete a game. For example, when I complete a game, I consider it a team effort. Let's say I completed GTA V; I buy a collectible related to it and add it to my collection. That's how I gradually built up my collection. Whenever I play a new game, I buy a figurine of one of its characters, or a toy, or whatever I can find in the market. That's how I collect all these things, and I really enjoy it because I don't really have much else to do in my life, and I'm only interested in a few things. I don't like partying, I don't like going out, and I'm not particularly picky about food. So, I just do the things I'm interested in.

My dream is to make my own team; I am in it to date. I interacted with a lot of people. I did one or two in a place where a kind of seminar hall sits. Where people who make games and big companies come, and those people come, then they talk a lot to the people and understand how games are made. How do you make games with him? How do you put real effects on him? I understood all that very much and very deeply, and I take funds from the franchise. How do you understand how to approach them? I am learning a lot in my giving care. That's why my dream is to make a game. But I can speak to you at the very bottom stage right now. So far I have had such a good personal call, and I am learning.

Playing games has taught me one thing: it significantly improves your focus and patience. Many games require a lot of time to develop and understand each character, their abilities, and how to use them effectively. You don't get instant rewards in these games. Some games have many levels, including difficult ones that are challenging to clear. You often have to make choices and decisions quickly, requiring careful thought and planning. Therefore, playing games naturally enhances various skills, including focus and decision-making. You have to analyze situations, understand cause and effect, and react accordingly. So, playing games is actually a beneficial activity.

Initially, parents used to think that playing games was a bad thing and that there was no career in it, but India and the gaming world have proven them all wrong. Today, India has become a major player in this field, and it's steadily growing. You'll see India represented in many places, and it's happening on a very large scale. This is because millions of dollars are invested in it today, and it's a huge industry. It attracts numerous sponsors. Recently, in the tournament held in Abu Dhabi, Cristiano Ronaldo participated—you can imagine the level of prestige involved. Many other players from India also participated, and it cost a lot of money. They send their franchises, they do all sorts of things; so much is involved. Even Adidas sponsors them; they sponsor their jerseys. So you can imagine how much of a global brand it has become, where you can earn millions just by playing games.
