zkVerify Testnet Regenesis - Welcome To The Volta Testnet
Hello Explorer! Welcome to the zkVerify Volta Testnet! This is a major technical upgrade that aligns with our strategic goals, marking a significant step toward the mainnet. Let’s dive into the exciting updates that are reshaping the landscape
What's new in the world of zkVerify? The zkVerify Relay Chain is the backbone of a modular network designed to support parachains, specialized chains built for real-world ZK applications. It’s a big leap forward, setting the stage for a multi-chain future and ensuring seamless coordination across the ecosystem.
Introducing $tVFY, the new Volta Testnet Token! While the regenesis resets the chain history, the testnet balances are preserved, keeping all integrations intact .You might have noticed your $ACME has been swapped out for $tVFY. This change ensures a more balanced testnet ecosystem by capping holdings at 1000 $tVFY for anyone who had more than that in $ACME. It’s all about fairness and promoting balance.
zkVerify has now integrated Plonky2, making the platform even more versatile for teams working with fast ZK systems. To make testing even easier, the Volta Faucet is live, allowing you to get your hands on testnet tokens and start experimenting with the updated network.
The Volta Testnet is a crucial step toward the mainnet, as it brings us closer to a solid, scalable foundation for developers, partners, and community members to build the next-gen ZK-powered applications.
Ready to play around and explore? Head to the faucet and get started with the new testnet! It’s an exciting time to be part of zkVerify’s journey—let’s build the future of zero-knowledge proof verification together.
With the launch of the zkVerify Volta Testnet, you may have some questions about what’s changed! Let’s clear up any confusion and let PVM explain how the technology got upgraded!
If you’ve accumulated $ACME tokens in your wallet, everything will be updated automatically. Your wallet, whether it’s Talisman, Substrate, or PolkadotJS, will now display $tVFY instead of $ACME. If you're not seeing this update, simply reload your wallet to reflect the changes. Basic IT hack... turn it off and on again!
For those of you who previously held more than 1000 $ACME tokens, you might notice a discrepancy with your balance now being capped at 1000 $tVFY. This is done to ensure fair distribution of testnet tokens, aligning the tokenomics with the upcoming Mainnet.
To get started with the testnet, you can visit the new zkVerify Volta Testnet Faucet and claim your $tVFY. As for the zkVerify Block Explorer, no changes have been made there!
Running validator nodes or regular nodes is not incentivized, and there’s no plan to add more validator nodes for the time being due to the current number being sufficient for Testnet Consensus.
If you're looking to participate in the current Phase 2 of the Incentivized Testnet, there are activities for both technical and non-technical community members. For non-technical participants, you can dive into Galxe Tasks, while developers can get involved with the Developer Challenges.
The unified platform with a leaderboard will be launched soon to bring all participants together. I am so exited about the upcoming zkVerify mainnet, and I am looking forward to test the tech!
Head to zkVerify blog to stay up-to-date with the latest token news. There is no set timeline just yet for the TGE, so stay tuned for further announcements. Onwards and upwards!
