NFT Breaking News #35 - Del Mundos & Normies

Let's make NFTs great again! I did wrote about digital art and stuff lately, a lot about the Spaace NFT marketplace but I neglected a lot a series that was quite successful in the heyday!

The NFT Breaking News articles where crowd's favorites when WAX was trending, and also one of my trademarks! However, DeFi and hustling made a hostile takeover!

My last article was a Halloween themed back in 2023, so it's about time to make a comeback! NFTs are back, cool collections are minting, and I am back in the non-fungible trenches!

I am now a proud holder of Normies and Del Mundos pfps, and it's time to put them in the spotlights! The Del Mundos is a fresh and funky NFT collection on Ethereum... same as Normies!

Unlike the usual digital-only stuff, each character started life in the real world, crafted from upcycled scraps, paper, and random bits of found treasure, then photographed and turned into a one-of-a-kind NFT.

With 10,000 unique handmade characters.... every piece has its own personality and charm. That physical-to-digital vibe gives the collection a collage feel that your standard computer-generated NFT can’t touch.

Since dropping, The Del Mundos has been turning heads, trading hands, and climbing in floor price, all while earning praise for its creativity, passion, and community energy.

At its heart... it’s a celebration of craftsmanship, community, and pure, people-powered positivity in the world of Web3. And yeah… I now own four little masterpieces, so basically I’m officially a Del Mundos dad.

This is my 4th purchase and the most expensive, got from the market at 0.0328 $ETH. The previous ones were cheaper, starting at 0.012 and up to a 0.025 bargain!

I spent 0.09 $ETH for those four round heads, and it's already a good investment. The floor went ballistic and even now, after a correction, we looking at 0.12 per NFT!

Then I hopped into the Normies arena and wow… these little pixel warriors are something else. Normies is an Ethereum NFT collection packing 10,000 fully on-chain pixel faces, each 1/1 in tiny 40×40 monochrome glory.

Humans, cats, secret agents, aliens... you name it, algorithm made it. Every single one lives forever on Ethereum ... and ten of them found a cozy home in my NFT vault!

The fun really starts with the PVP-style antics. Burn a Normie, get edit powers, tweak other Normies or throw down in grid battles. The burn is giving your pixels superpowers and a playground to fight in.

Since launch, the marketplace has been buzzing, floor prices climbing, trades popping off, and the holder community is getting seriously creative with their pixel armies.

These Normies might just be the OG digital pets we all secretly needed. Got ten of them and watched the floor go up with a smile! Didn't minted, got them from the market... and still 12x on them!

Starting with handmade, upcycled characters and then bringing them on-chain gives it way more soul than purely algorithmic art. That tactile origin story matters, especially now that people are more selective about what they collect.
