Bloodlust & Elven Dust: My Splinterlands Dream Duo

This week in the Splinterlands we're turning the spotlight on Power Plays! We all have those brilliant card combos, unexpected synergies, and clutch tactics that swing battles in your favor and leave your opponents wondering what just happened.

We’re talking about the kind of plays that win you matches, flip the script, or turn a sure loss into a glorious comeback. Whether it’s a sneaky poison plus cleanse setup, a double taunt tank wall, or a glass cannon nuker combo that erases enemies before they can blink!

Got a go-to lineup that climbs you up the leaderboard? A new synergy you stumbled into that turned out to be OP? Or maybe just a satisfying counter you use to punish meta builds? Share your loadouts, the logic behind them, and the moments they came through when it mattered most.

Whether you’re a battle-hardened veteran or just discovered a fresh combo that slaps... tell me your favorite Power Play and let’s celebrate the big brain moves that make Splinterlands such a wild and strategic ride.

It's all about synergy! What's in for the battle mages? An infinite challenge to become the best! Endless fights and opportunities to become a better battle mage! You try to create the most optimal 7-card deck, using your available cards, and fight against opponents.

What's your favourite powerful combo? I say Lobb & Quora are THE lethal duo, but I recently found some insane elven synergy with Kalya Silverleaf units that gain Execute as a bloodline boost! It's game on!

My elves are stronger than the ones in Lord of the Rings, but before that... we chat about my dream duo! Lobb Lowland and Quora Towershead are the Brad and Angelina of Splinterlands.

When the battle cap shows 16 mana, there’s no hesitation... it’s Lobb and Quora every time. Pure synergy, pure domination. Quora hits twice, heals herself, and doesn’t need backup. Lobb brings the muscle and Earth’s power, reducing enemy speed and turning the tide from round one.

Hailing from Praetoria’s Great Lowlands, Lobb’s more than brawn. Even as a youngster, he led with brains, strength, and a quiet magnetism that rallied others. My level four summoner channels that perfectly! It’s a one-two punch that rarely misses.

Quora Towershead may one day stand as the last of her clan, but her legend is already written in the arena. As a gladiator, she’s a star! Quora is fierce, relentless, unforgettable. Paired with Lobb, they’re one of my go-to power combos, and they never disappoint.

Quora’s an Epic Gladiator with unmatched versatility... both tank and damage dealer, making her a cornerstone of any Earth Splinter strategy. At 10 mana, she brings both magic and melee, gains momentum through Bloodlust, heals every round, and unleashes chaos on the board.

Level her up and she becomes even deadlier: immune to debuff at level 3, stripping enemy buffs at level 5. She’s not just a card... she’s a game-changer. I am sure everyone wants her as a wife!

image.png

Are you not entertained? You should be... because today battle will bring two gladiators against a wave of sea creatures. Gorilla Power for all, as my ape made all as fast as Barry Allen. Only 35 mana for this duel, but enough to create a deadly bloodlust team.

Quoare has ended the battle on high stats, with 17 health and 8 damage on both melee and magic! All Hail Queen Quora! Drop your best synergies in the comments and let’s see who’s got the ultimate strategy!

Lobb Lowland: +1 Speed & +1 Gladiator

Mycelic Slipspawn: Tank with Taunt

Quora Towershead: Caster with Heal & Bloodlust

Ketrelba Gobson: Melee with Double-Strike, Bloodlust & Sneak

Khmer Princess: Caster

Acid Shutter: Ranged with Scattershot

I had to face Djinn Oshannus and the rage of the sea! Fins and scales from the Diemonshark and Deeplurker, some tentacles from the Kulu Swimhunter and even a cute Mandarin!

The first round didn't go well, losing my tank, missing few hits and thinking that my army will shatter quickly. Quora took the tank duty and got ready to balance the fight! She healed herself, took down the Diemonshark with a fireball, had the bloodlust boost and then melee attacked Djinn Oshannus.

Ketrelba Gobson will not be mentioned in the songs written after this glorious battle! She died without any achievements, but at least took a bullet for the team. Died like a hero!

image.png

Wow! Quora hit twice! She will fire the magic first and then second that with a melee attack! I was still not sure that this battle will go well, as I was losing all my monsters. The Acid Shooter will be next, as he has a bullseye on his back!

But then... Quora done some magic and took down the mighty Oshannus! Heal, double damage and then the bloodlust boost made her go to nine health and four damage! However... this was just the start of a perpetual growth!

And just like that... it all changed! Surprisingly... the Acid Shooter survived by hiding behind Quora! The enemy had only ranged units left, and this made me smell the win! Quora has become a beast, taking out enemies for fun!

This battle was one to remember… and with bloodline boosts shaking up the meta, even more legendary clashes lie ahead! Enter Kaylia Silverleaf — the elven general with a deadly edge. When she leads, every elf becomes a finisher, thanks to her Execute buff for elven-kin.

You’d think 26 mana would call for cheap fillers and simple spell-slingers… but I went all-in on precision and synergy. Kaylia’s -1 Spell Damage debuff to enemies crippled opposing casters, while her elven spellcasters dished out devastating magic. This was a masterclass in elven execution!

Kaylia Silverleaf — the mind behind the massacre
Failled Summoner — support tank with Magic Reflect to punish spell damage
Moxian Rebel — caster with Weapons Training, spreading strength
Lurking Puffer — corrosive utility that strips armor and supports the front
Thanalorian Scion — elven mage with Void Armor, perfect for soaking pressure
Elven Mystic — trusty caster for chip and control
Thanalorian Archer — elf sniper with Lookout, watching the flanks

The strategy was simple... cast spells and win the game! The Moxian Rebel gave spell power to the support units without attack, and the archon gave Execute to the two Thanalorioan elves. Wait... why is the Elven Mystic not classed as an elf? It's an elf and got the boost but still!

Each team lost one unit before the end of the first round, then was Execute time! Taylia Silverleaf's bloodline dominion gives all elves killer instinct. If a target has 2 or less healt after a succesfull attack... the attacker performs another attack to settle the score!

This happened as the Thanalorian Scion hit the Explosive Rat, and then casted another spell to deliver the deadly blow! The strategy I created was successful!

image.png

The Drybone Megalodon giving Reach to the Explosive Rats was a good idea, as the blast hit hard into my units. However... it wasn't sustainable and a long term solution! Magic always beats raw strength!

The Elven Mystic had one swing at the Chaos Evoker, then a second one due to Execute! This battle was turning into a bloodbath! The Mystic done the same thing to the Drybone Megalodon! Sharks in the water? Nope! All clear!

What can do a lonely monkey against an army of immortal elves? Absolutely nothing! It looked easy... but was the bloodline dominion that made the difference! See the full battle here!

My elves stepped in, led by Kaylia Silverleaf and her Execute bloodline. Precision casting, flawless synergy, and ruthless finishers turned the battlefield into an elven clinic. But bigger conflicts emerged!

The Emberglace Stirs! The heat is back in Splinterlands as a fresh season storms in, packed with epic battles, juicy rewards, and arcane chaos. Conflicts are live once more, and the first-ever Conclave Arcana Conflict is here — a 30-day staking war where every pack and card fuels your power and unlocks magical airdrops.

Think Rebellion Conflicts… but with more arcane spice. Stake into Battle Wagons, stack up points, and chase those elusive Conclave Arcana cards. With deeper strategy, new mechanics, and rewards that shine, now’s the time to throw your best into the fray.

Zyrx the Emberglace scorches and freezes her path through Praetoria, and only we — with our mage wagons — stand between her and total ruin. Every 100,000 points gets you one airdrop chance. Rack up 800, and you’re guaranteed a card. 25 in one drop? That’s a Gold Foil, baby.

I’m sitting at 119 chances — not quite enough for a sure thing, but a solid shot at magic. I started with 22 wagons and 195 packs, clocking in 55,000 points per hour. Not bad, but still below the 800-entry dream.

So I hit the market. War Wagons are $6 now, a bit pricey, so I went for better card efficiency. Spent about $20 in DEC to level up a few cards, gained 1165 HR, and bumped my chances from 395 to 407.

Twelve more chances for all that work — wild! Might’ve been better grabbing a few more wagons and tossing in whatever cards I had. Still, the emberstorm is rolling… and I’m riding it all the way to the end.

So I bought another War Wagon and added the best-remaining cards! My end estimate is now 414 and above 50% is a good deal! Now let's wait and see if the strategy will pay off! Vonak!

Quora is good but ketrelba is even better if you help with one of those 3 mana ranger that boost stats.
