Happy Fiery 🔥 Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report. What a day, it's been a good one and as usual am here to break it down and share some of the trending stories.
So get ready, here we go again 💨.
This morning I woke up to a cloudy day but that didn't stop me from a nice walk around the neighbourhood for around an hour
Then was back indoors for some household chores. Sending out some emails then finally settling down to the trending stories and some you tube videos.
The afternoon got a little sunny 🌞 but the clouds ☁️ were there too.
My venture outdoors was this evening as I set out for the slow paced sunset 🌄 walk.
The sun was out and a beautiful sunset was what ended my day with a wonderful fresh breeze 🍃 to boot😹.
So that was my day and let's now jump into the trending stories.
Today the biggest story is Netanyahu doing the unimaginable, attacking Hamas in Doha, Qatar, a strong US ally and sovereign state.
Shock as Israeli airstrikes hit a residential area in Doha full of schools and foreign embassies. Five Hamas members and a Qatari security official were killed in the attack, Hamas saying its senior leaders escaped unharmed.
Qatar denied white house claims that Trump had sent a warning, Trump himself confirming that he had no idea.
Clearly Netanyahu has no plans for peace negotiations and wants to continue the war in Gaza indefinitely and try to eliminate Hamas. The lives of hostages now in grave danger, more Gaza civilians to be killed as the war will now continue.
Qatar has condemned the attack as a flagrant violation of its sovereignty, lack of diplomatic decorum on Netanyahu. Adding that the attack was cowardly and criminal.
Many European countries including UK, France, Spain and Germany have condemned that attack too.
Trump is caught up between Israel and Qatar, both allies, saying the attack didn't advance US or Israeli goals.
In the UK, Pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside a major arms fair in London as it opened without the presence of Israeli government officials because of tension between Britain and Israel over the Gaza conflict.
Police watched as around 300 protesters waved Palestinian flags and held up placards, including one reading “UK: Stop arming Israel. Stop the Gaza Genocide.” The British government excluded Israeli officials from the four-day event, but 51 Israeli defense companies are set to attend, including major arms manufacturer Elbit.
France trending as President Emmanuel Macron has named close ally Sébastien Lecornu as new French prime minister, 24 hours after a vote of confidence ousted François Bayrou as head of his government.
Lecornu, 39, was among the favourites to take over the job, and he has spent the past three years as armed forces minister, with a focus on France's response to Russia's war in Ukraine.
Finally, Nepal's Prime Minister, KP Sharma Oli has resigned in the wake of public outrage over the killing of 22 people in police clashes with anti-corruption gen z protesters.
His office said he had stepped down to pave the way for a constitutional solution to the massive youth-led protests over widespread allegations of corruption and sparked by a social media ban, which has since been withdrawn.
I think there will be new elections across the board to elect new/ reliable leaders.
