Using Jared Scar With Backup Plan In The Super Sneak Ruleset
Hello, Splinterlovers, today I will make a post again about the Splinterlands contest Battle Mage Secrets Challenge. This Week's Theme is Super Sneak ruleset.
This battle happen in the Brawl the Modern Format Diamond League using my scholar accounts from Balthazar.

Ruleset

Super Sneak, all monsters have Sneak ability.
- Sneak ability: melee monster can attack the enemy in the last position from any position.
Target Practice: All range and magic monsters have the Snipe ability.
- Snipe ability, targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position
mana cap.
can use all elements except Death element.
My Lineup and strategy
- In this Super Sneak ruleset we decided to use Jared Scar this is a high-damage melee unit from the Life element, but I realize many players already anticipated if there is a Life element choice then Jared Scar usually will be used, especially in high mana battle. That's why I decided to bring another type of attacker which attacks other locations/enemy units.
- For Target Practice we will ignore this ruleset because we will use summoner Lily Shieldpaw from Dragon element all range and and magic attack will force to attack the unit in the first position unless :
- We bring the unit with Taunt ability (force the enemy in the 2nd - 6th position to attack this unit if they can)
- The enemy use range/magic unit who has Scattershot ability (attacking random enemy).
This is my lineup for this battle :

Has the buff of +1 HP, and gives the Camouflage ability to all monsters. have a support ability Triage. | There are 2 reasons we use this summoner the Camouflage ability that makes all enemy units can only attack our tanker in the first position, this will disable Target Practice ruleset so we can focus on another ruleset. The 2nd reason is the Triage ability that will heal the ally monster whose HP has the most decrease and is not in the first position because we don't want to bring a unit with the Triage ability instead of replacing it with a unit that has Martyr. |
![]() | Uriel the Purifier, 1st position, attacker and tanker. Has the Ability Flying, Recharge, Heal, and Redemption. | This monster has high armor, and HP, and can Heal a very strong tanker. The other support ability he has is the Flying ability which increases the chance to evade the enemy melee and range attack by 25%. When this monster dies it will give damage to all enemy monsters by 1 (Redemption ability). This monster only can attack every 2 turns with 3x damage because have the Recharge ability, sometimes this ability can be the weakness of this monster but sometimes it is an advantage if can hit the enemy unit when there is no armor. This unit's weakness is magic attack but we anticipated it by bringing the unit with Taunt ability who good against magic attack. |
![]() | Jared Scar, 2nd position, attacker. Has Bloodlust, True Aim, and Piercing Abilities | This is our 1st main attacker, put in this 2nd position to become 2nd tanker if the Uriel falls, I hope at that time the Bloodlust ability (every time this monster kill the enemy monsters then all stats will increase the effect same like Martyr ability) already activated. This monster can't miss with the True Aim ability, and the Piercing ability makes this unit stronger because every time it attacks after destroying the armor the left damage will hit the HP, and this monster's attack is very high. |
![]() | Iziar 3rd position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Taunt, Void, and Martyr ability | We use this unit so the enemy damage can be split between Uriel and this unit, and we want this monster Martyr ability to boost the stats of Jared Scar (2nd position) and Chaos Dragon (4th position) behind. This monster has a Taunt ability, which makes all enemies attack this monster if can. The Void ability will cut the damage of the magic attack by half. This monster has a large HP the enemy will need time to kill this monster giving time for our attacker to be safe from attack while attacking the enemy unit. |
![]() | Chaos Dragon, 4th position, attacker. Has Flying, Scattershot, Blast, and Blind Abilities | This is our 2nd main attacker who has a great attack dealing 4 magic damage. This unit have the Blast ability (every time this monster attacks the enemy monsters it will damage the enemy monster adjacent to it). We need this unit's Scattershot ability so that in case the enemy brings a strong tanker like us this unit can randomly attack the enemy unit behind. The Blind ability increases the dodge capability of all ally monsters by 15% and The Flying ability helps to evade the enemy ranged/melee attack by 25%. |
![]() | Venari Marksrat, 5th position, Attacker and Support, has the ability Martyr, Ensnare, and Shatter. | The main reason we used this unit is to boost again the damage of Chaos Dragon. with the Martyr ability, but this strategy will only work if the enemy brings a unit with the Scattershot ability, I guess the enemy will bring Chaos Dragon too. This unit has good attacking ability, the Ensnare ability will disable the Flying ability from the enemy unit, The Shatter will destroy all of the armor if can hit the enemy unit. |
![]() | Adelade Brightwing, 6th position, Attacker and Support, has the ability Flying, Repair, Resurrect, Immunity, and Swiftness. | Placed in the 6th position because this monster is weak against attack easy to die. We use this unit because of The Resurrect ability which is very useful for reviving our monster Iziar/Venari Marksrat, this ability can only be used once every battle. We use this monster to double the effect of the Martyr ability. It has several good abilities like the Repair ability, it will restore the ally armor with the most damage. This unit has Immunity ability which ignores the Negative effect. The Flying ability gives a 25% increase in the chance to evade the enemy melee and range attack. The ability Swiftness will help all our ally units to get a +1 speed boost to increase the chance to attack first, evade the enemy attack, and hit the enemy. |
Our Formation is finished and we are ready to battle :
Conclusion
Actually, I don't have high hopes in the high mana battle using Jared Scar, this unit is very popular because it is cheap to rent and buy so it is used by many players, as I said before the enemy usually will anticipate it this time by using the unit that has Forcefield ability (if it is attacked by the enemy unit that has 5 or more damage the damage will decrease to 1) the Djinn Oshannus, so the attack of our Jared Scar is ineffective at first but after it got Martyr boost and moves to the first position this unit can kill Diemonshark and Flying Squid :
Our 2nd main attacker is Chaos Dragon who in the end gives us victory by acting as a tanker and attacker, leaving our unit behind to attack safely :
We win this battle by using several strategies:
- Using Iziar Martyr's ability.
- Adelade Brightwing who double the effect of Martyr ability
- Although strategy using The Jared Scar is not effective in this Super Sneak ruleset it helps kill the enemy unit when moved to the first position.
- the backup plan using Chaos Dragon as 2nd main attacker.
The Strategy which failed :
- The enemy is not using Chaos Dragon or any other unit with Scattershot ability so the Venari Marksrat still alive until the last battle and failed to activate the Martyr ability.
