Esta es mi entrada y primera participación en el concurso "Observa Piensa Escribe" posteado por

@lanzjoseg . Coincidentemente es mi post primo en esta comunidad, espero que sea del agrado de todos.

RÍO CRECIDO

Río crecido, turbia pasa el agua,

con creciente caudal,

pletórico de azules

el cielo te divisa.

No me obsesiona tu nombre,

por mi ciudad pasa el Sinú

que también se crece

ahí van las historias junto a las gotas

como diatribas palpitantes

a tus orillas atadas

junto al goterón campesino

que moja las camisas

enturbiaste las tierras

prósperas las hiciste,

misionero de las pobladas gotas

cumples el cometido

para congregar verduras y alimentos.

Río crecido, opio del pescador

en tu orilla se mece la vegetación

con dichas, la simpleza de los caracolíes

y el recorrido arbóreo de las soledades

se extendió en tus riberas

ciñendo el mineral.

Río que navega acaso un transeúnte

que me recuerda al boga ancestral

de las playas cordobesas,

de mi zona erial

desembocadura al vientre indígena

salto al remolino donde lavar

la lágrima antaño desprendida

de un ojo

quizás gris testimonio de la arenga

de estas tierras.

Suelo donde el pájaro eleva

su armadura de plumas

y enuncia su grito triunfal

en primavera.

Yo también te preciso,

sinuoso despertando al pueblo

cruzas y te precipitas

desde las ciénagas

hasta las zonas eriales

en tenue vendaval,

circundas las corridas de los pueblos

que a tu orilla tejen,

con hilo de sudor y hueso,

la historia para el hijo.

Yo sediento de ti,

cautivo de tu arquitectura natural,

me sumerjo mientras paso

y recuerdo tu nombre

como una madre pura

y un padre destacado,

surtidor sin fronteras,

arquero musical.

Hoy soy de ti un escudriñador

aprendiz del canto

que observo

como en tu agua fecunda

el ojo del tiempo suele palpitar.

FLOODED RIVER

Flooded river, clouded flows the water,

with rising current,

swollen with blues

the sky beholds you.

Your name does not obsess me,

for through my city runs the Sinú,

that also swells;

there go the stories with the drops,

like throbbing diatribes

bound to your shores,

beside the peasant’s downpour

that drenches the shirts.

You muddied the land,

yet made it prosper,

missionary of your teeming drops,

you fulfill your task—

to gather fruits, vegetables,

and bread for the people.

Flooded river, opium of the fisherman,

upon your banks the vegetation sways,

with grace, the simple caracolí trees,

and the arboreal path of solitudes

stretch along your margins,

girding the mineral.

River that a passerby might sail,

recalling the ancestral boga

from Córdoba’s beaches,

from my arid zone,

mouth to the indigenous womb,

leap to the creamy waters

where one might wash

the ancient tear shed from an eye—

perhaps a gray testimony

to the harangues of these lands.

Soil where the bird lifts

its armor of feathers

and proclaims its triumphal cry

in spring.

I too am in need of you,

sinuous awakener of the people,

you cross and you cascade,

from the marshes

to the barren zones,

in gentle whirlwind;

you encircle the festivals of the towns

that along your banks weave,

with thread of sweat and bone,

a history for the child.

I, thirsty for you,

captive of your natural architecture,

immerse myself as I pass

and recall your name—

like a pure mother

and a noble father,

fountain without borders,

musical archer.

Today I am your examiner,

apprentice of the song,

and I behold

how in your fertile waters

the eye of time still throbs.
