Ella camina como Geisha|She walks like a geisha [Es/En]

Cordial abrazo a todos los miembros de la red Hive que se detienen a leerme, y un saludo especial para la Comunidad #Literatos.

Regularmente recorro decenas de kilómetros por carretera para ir a trabajar. Al principio me apasionaba mucho, sobre todo por la belleza de los paisajes de las veredas costeras de Colombia. Aún disfruto acelerar la moto en la madrugada, sintiendo el frescor del amanecer: es reconfortante, no solo por el placer del acto en sí, sino también por el contraste con los calores intensos que últimamente se sienten.

En estos meses es muy frecuente encontrarse con lluvias y aguaceros, que le dan un matiz distinto a todo. Hoy, casualmente, mientras esperaba que pasara un aguacero en las cercanías, tomé esta foto, de la cual nació el texto que les comparto. Juzguen ustedes mismos, con sus propios sentidos, lo que expresa.

Agradezco muchísimo su visita. Que tengan una noche súper feliz.

Ella camina como una geisha
Aunque no lo es,

solo se acerca al aguacero que la espera

con lágrimas gruesas

entumeciendo el pasto.

Ella no espera nada, tiene la certeza

de un general vencedor

lleva sombrilla, no será elevada por los cielos

ni necesitará un veneno para su oponente

vencerá porque no lo considera su enemigo.

Ella tiene pasos firmes, hornea alguna idea simple

lucha imperceptiblemente con la gravedad

salvará alguna emboscada de la vida

como otras veces, sin ahorros, sin armas ocultas de Geisha.

Ella salva el día, se deleita y anda, está dispuesta a ser piedra, hoja, pausa,

pero es hija de Dios y mojará las sandalias sin derecho a reclamarle

sus advenimientos que son además cobija y perdón.

I regularly travel dozens of kilometers along the road to get to work. At first, I was deeply passionate about it—especially because of the beauty of the coastal Colombian countryside. I still enjoy speeding up on my motorcycle at dawn, feeling the freshness of the morning air: it is comforting, not only for the pleasure of the act itself but also for the contrast it brings to the intense heat we’ve been experiencing lately.

These months, it is common to encounter rain and heavy downpours, which give everything a different shade of meaning. Today, while waiting for one of those showers to pass nearby, I happened to take this photo, from which the text I now share with you was born. Judge for yourselves, with your own senses, what it conveys.

I am deeply grateful for your visit. May you have a truly wonderful night.

A literary embrace,

She walks like a geisha,

though she is not one.

She only approaches the downpour that awaits her,

with thick tears

that numb the grass.

She expects nothing—she carries the certainty

of a victorious general.

Umbrella in hand, she will not be lifted to the heavens,

nor will she need poison for her opponent.

She will win, precisely because she does not see him as an enemy.

Her steps are steady; she kneads a simple idea.

She fights imperceptibly against gravity,

she will overcome some ambush of life,

as on other occasions—without reserve,

without secret geisha weapons.

She saves the day, delights, and walks; willing to be a stone, a leaf, a pause.

Yet she is a child of God,

and will wet her sandals without the right to complain

about her comings and goings—

which are also refuge and forgiveness.
