Frágil como una punta de agua

lenta como la muerte de un astro

dulce como la primavera borboteando

tierna como la hebra de una virgen

pésimamente sopesada y

difícilmente medida entre nueces

laboriosamente recogidas

pactada en la penumbra

esquiva entre las fieras

selváticamente green

alegre como risa del tuerto

enunciada como la palabra guardada en los libreros

así eres con ojos de paloma

con boca de medusa

con cabeza de corola

y cuerpo de mar que pernocta

en mi noche de hombre

bramando la majestuosidad

de un amor que titila

más allá de los astros:

solo me queda el agua

la lluvia imperecedera

que lava la geografía

de tus dulces metales

ciñéndose a mis ruidos

recogiendo mis manos

allí donde el verdugo del tiempo

te hace inaccesible

tan lejos, innecesaria

tan cerca, como una estrella

quemante

tan queda como un revuelo

de deseos en el vientre.

Fragile as the tip of a drop of water,
slow as the death of a star,
sweet as spring bubbling forth,
tender as the thread of a virgin.
Poorly weighed and
hardly measured among walnuts,
painfully gathered,
sealed in twilight,
elusive among the beasts,
wildly green,

joyful as the laughter of a one-eyed man,
spoken like a word
kept in the shelves of books.
So you are, with dove-like eyes,
with the mouth of a Medusa,
with the head of a blossom,
and the body of a sea that lodges
in my man’s night,
roaring the majesty
of a love that flickers
beyond the stars.
All that remains to me is water,
the imperishable rain
that washes the geography
of your sweet metals,
clinging to my noises,
gathering my hands,
where the executioner of time
renders you unreachable:
so far, unnecessary,
so near, like a burning star,
so hushed as the flutter
of desires in the womb.
