How Can We be Equipped for the Future?

This is a 5-minute freewrite in response to the prompt from 3/05/2025 "equipped for the future"
It has been said that we cannot predict technological advancement and development thirty years in advance.
Think about how life was thirty years ago in 1995. We used pay phones and beepers to communicate. We didn't have Internet in every household, and AOL dominated the space.
The Wright Brothers' first airplane flight happened in 1903 and by 1969 we had a man on the Moon. We simply cannot predict what will happen. The streets of New York City changed during this time from a space occupied by horse and buggy to ICE automobiles, and society and culture moved forward in ways we could not have predicted.
The future favors certain creative, visionary people who adapt. The train was called the "iron horse" and was protested as it crossed the country. The world has become more connected and we look to the future for solutions to problems we face today. Technology is not a panacea and we have the option to embrace things or reject them based upon our own passions and beliefs.
We need to hone our soft and hard skills to be equipped for the future. Technology and culture change but human ingenuity is a value that helps us overcome related challenges. To thrive in this life, we need to be community builders and perpetual students of life. We need to evaluate technology and see if it fits into our lives in a healthy way.
A lot of people have started to believe that technology is the only way to continue to live out civilization; yes, it is an important factor, but maybe not that much if humanity has to survive somehow.
Technology can be positive or negative. We need discernment and we need to be aware of pitfalls inherent to humanity.
Yes you seem to be right pepe.
