RE: Goldbacks in the UK: A risky yet rewarding gamble...

I have been fascinated by these curious and beautiful things since I learned about them when I joined Hive. Goldbacks do indeed look like works of art while incorporating real world value. I find them fascinating and a testament to financial independence, in fact that's what I like about them the most.

Over in the States they are accepted as local currency, so they are not just simply collectibles, although I'm sure you know this already. I think it's awesome that in America local independent communities created Goldbacks to wave two fingers at the centralised financial system. I would so use them as currency if they were accepted over here in Britain as legal tender.

I'd like think that even in America they are not just becoming collectibles only and are used daily as currency. Of course I can truly appreciate why they are also collectible items. Goldbacks are extraordinary things for different reasons.

Why the heck haven't we created our own British Goldbacks yet?
