InLeo Interface Changes The Game For Hive
So I've signed up and I'm on the Hive platform blogging for just over a week and still learning loads when I get a message on one of my posts from a great guy called @vimukthi. He was sent to my post by another solid Hivian called @sircork. I am advised by @vimukthi that my posts are not getting the rewards they deserve and to seriously consider using the InLeo frontend.
So a couple of days ago I did exactly that. While I enjoy Peakd, the interface I have been using until now, InLeo takes the game to a whole new level - it really is freaking amazing! This blockchain gets crazier and crazier.
I don't know who the developers are but they have created a remarkably impressive frontend. I do not understand why Hive hasn't got its name out there more, it's an incredibly innovative and rewarding platform.
Hive, Twitter and More In One Place
InLeo has built a frontend that integrates Hive with X, formerly Twitter, and then some, that's the easiest way I can describe it. So you have your blogging functionality and you can also 'thread', which is basically tweeting.
Login and go to your Profile page and this is what you are presented with.
As you can see the layout resembles the X, formerly Twitter, profile page. This X layout and structure is mimicked throughout the InLeo site which is very clever because familiarity can be a blessing when trying to get your mind round new interfaces.
At the bottom on the left is the Publish button, no matter which page of InLeo you navigate to this bold button is always found in exactly the same place, it is permanently situated towards the bottom of the left side panel. This is a great idea because no matter where you find yourself on the InLeo interface you are never far away from publishing a post, after all Hive is a blogging website for you to publish yourself on.
Threads
The threads option is a real advantage over the other Hive frontends out there. This is where you can start to network more effectively and get involved in conversations with other users. The great thing about InLeo is that threads can be voted on and rewards given, now you don't get that with other Hive interfaces or Twitter do you?!
Things really start to get interesting when you thread about posts you've published. I wasn't sure this was an acceptable practice when I joined InLeo but I was reassured by @bradleyarrow it's not frowned upon at all. So fellow Hivians with InLeo there is another point of exposure where you can promote posts. Conversely it's really important though that you get involved with other users on the InLeo platform and follow people, just as you should be doing elsehwere in the Hive community and engaging with other peoples' posts.
But as you can see from the list on the left panel InLeo has plenty of other options for you to take advantage of.

Fancy A Quickie?
One of the other functions you can access from the panel is Shorts. I had no clue what this was about until today when I was scrolling through threads and came across a video from @taskmaster4450 explaining in a 'short' video what Shorts are all about. The video is included below. It is indeed what it says on the label, here you can put up a short video of anything you want. Perhaps a little snippet of your thinking or maybe upload a video of something that doesn't quite merit a post but nonetheless needs to be shared.

(Scroll through shorts for a quick fire round of social media indulgence!)
At first I wasn't sure what the point of Shorts was, but now I get it. This function really is more useful than you might think and a very welcome addition to what is already a very engaging frontend for the Hive blockchain. If you are also unsure about Shorts this man will sum up its value and menaing better than I can.
(Here's @taskmaster4450 explaining what you can use the Shorts function for)
A Work In Progress
If you hit the Explore button you won't get too far just yet because even though I'm sure the developers are either fixing it or developing something exciting there isn't anything usable at this stage.

This shouldn't bother anyone. InLeo is an awesome site but it is also a work in progress, like all the great blockchain projects out there. It's always good to see that the building continues after the initial phase of a project is operational.
Working With Leo
I have literally just bought a brand new HP desktop computer, it cost just under a grand and is high spec enough to start getting into all this video and streaming stuff, so hopefully you will soon see who I am and what I sound like! You lucky, lucky people!
There is so much to explore within the InLeo interface it really is a comprehensive frontend to the Hive blockchain, packed with additional features you can have a lot of fun with and earn more.
For those of you new to Hive I should also point out that Leo also has its own native token LEO, which I need to look into further. You can purchase LEO token from leodex.io . Leo is a huge ecosystem and there is so much to explore. I have barely scratched the surface with this post.
I am looking forward to exploring InLeo in greater depth and once I manage to kick my own ass into gear and get my new PC out of its box I will then be in a much better position to start making use of video and streaming, and really start to engage with the InLeo interface and other areas of the Hive platform, particularly 3Speak and HiveStreams.
Peace!

It's really fun and refreshing to watch you discover this place and all its nooks and crannies.
Reminds me of seven years ago and doing it myself alongside lots of other folks, many of whom still here and considered "OGs", who were discovering it back during it's infancy during its first year (under the older chain name of course).
Keep going! There is something new around every corner! And someone new to meet and know every day!
Good times!
Hey dude, yeah Hive is very interesting for sure and then you come across something like the InLeo interface and things get even more exciting. I of course have to thank you for directing me towards InLeo via @vimukthi, so even more credit where credit is due! Thanks for your navigation man I do appreciate it.
Have you gotten into the discord scene yet? Go to The Terminal Discord to begin your discord minnow journey in a Hive based, general information and new user context, they will know others to recommend for you, and when you've gotten into the hive based Discord scene a little bit and have figured out that aspect of our Hive world, then I am going to invite you to another one too. But I do not want to put the invitation link here on a post, because it's not a fully public, fully open one, its more of a friends and family, invite only kind of place. But we'll get to that. I think you are worthy of it, have great style posting and great etiquette in corresponding and would likely enjoy it there.
Yeah I am in a few Hive Discord servers already, including the official Hive Discord. I think you have mentioned The Terminal before dude but I just haven't got on it yet, well that is not until now as I have just joined. I am currently pending approval!
The other Discord server sounds intriguing, do I have to strip? Are there initiation ceremonies? Do I wear a mask or what? No, but seriously when you think I'm ready I would be delighted to join.
I really do appreciate your help with navigating all of this and am also grateful to you for your confidence in me, this whole place can be a bit daunting at times and I'm constantly questioning if I am doing things right or wrong. But I am trying to get all this right while hopefully establishing a presence on Hive so I can build something here, although not quite sure what that looks like yet.
Yes.
The confusing part is, when stripping, do you keep the mask on? or no? You'll figure it out.
That's cool, at least I get some anonymity. I think it's best to have some anonymity with these types of things, at least to start with. Until I warm up.
So, third date then?
I dispense with those kind of rules, they're for amateurs. If it feels right then it's right, no matter when!
A daredevil. I like it.
Thanks for the mention :) !BBH !DOOK

No worries, thanks for the information and advice you have given to help me navigate InLeo, appreciate it.

Also, I have been meaning to ask what does BBH do?
Holding BBH does two things. 1. It is a tipping token, 2. every Saturday you earn Drips (passive income). Read any one of my long form posts. It is explained in every post.

Great to see you discover all the amazing DAPPs HIVE has to offer. Take a look at Splinterlands and Rising Star if you are into gaming. Login only take a few seconds if you have @keychain installed. Another mega tool for HIVE users is https://hivetasks.com
Hey @vimukthi, I have heard tons about Splinterlands and will get round to it at some stage I'm sure. I have just checked out Hive Tasks and it looks like it was once a very useful tool for Hivians but from what I can tell it's no longer functioning much, if at all. Do you know if the site is still active?
It works fine for me. I only use few of the features. Go to https://hivetasks.com/@peaceandmoney The project is run by @fernandosoder
The top part works alright actually but what about the other information below?
The rewards summary is also blank.
Yes. There seems to be an issue. It has been some time since I last checked these features. Best to ask @fernandosoder.
Welcome to inleo. Very happy you are enjoying this fronted already. Hoping you continue to meet new friends here and share ideas.
Thanks, enjoying the ride so far!
