Hi! It's nice to meet you!

At my vinyl store “Cloud7” in the UK, circa 2013

My name is Tomek, but people in Poland call me Pan Winyl (Mr. Vinyl). I've been collecting vinyl records for several decades, and my passion led me from vinyl collector to running a vinyl store to manufacturer.

In my vinyl-sanctuary

Today, I run a company (POLVINYL) that combines traditional vinyl record production with modern technologies (including blockchain).

I am the author of “The Book of Vinyl”!

My goal at HIVE is to meet new people and communities who are interested in music, vinyl records, and technology, and how they all connect. I will be posting content here on these topics, but also on faith, God, love, and hope. There may also be reports from our travels around Poland and the world, or recipes and life hacks :D

PIZZA always!

I am very happy to have joined HIVE, thanks to @deepresearch, whom I met at the SLotArt Festival in Poland this year. My new friend introducet me to HIVE and delegated some RC to me so that I could write this post! For which I am even more grateful!
Besides that, I have been a blogger for many years, running my blog about music, vinyl, the music market, and technology, as well as testing various technologies for artists and their communities. At Lens Chain, I am among the top 4% of the most active creators and users.

I don't believe in coincidences, and I feel like I've been looking for a place like HIVE for a long time. I hope I'm not mistaken.

Well, it didn't work out, but I think that by the next festival we can work on transferring Mr. Vinyl's community from WEB2 to HIVE :)
I think many vinyl collectors and music fans might like it here... once they stop being afraid of technology :D

I think a few shops have popped up in nearby cities, so I'll check them out.

I have a little advice for you – buy yourself a vinyl record by an artist whose music you know very well and go to stores that sell turntables and audio equipment – ask the people there to play the record for you on different types of equipment. Don't look for something that costs thousands of dollars to start with; something much more modest will suffice. And see which sound you like best. You're buying the sound, not the brand of equipment :) Let me know how it goes!
