Saludos, amigos cinéfilos de #CineTV. Justamente ayer terminé de ver una miniserie en Netflix llamada La Escalera, que por cierto también está disponible en HBO Max. Esta es una serie que me llamó la atención por ser basada en hechos reales sobre el caso de un presunto asesinato cometido en una hermosa casa.
Greetings, fellow film buffs of #CineTV. Just yesterday I finished watching a miniseries on Netflix called The Staircase, which is also available on HBO Max. This series caught my attention because it's based on real events surrounding a suspected murder in a beautiful house.

"No hay verdad sin mentiras". Esta pequeña palabra de tan sólo 3 sílabas y que resulta ser tan dañina cada vez que se usa para beneficio de alguien o para evitar herir a una persona, es en sí la protagonista de esta serie de 8 episodios de aproximadamente 1 hora.

Y como les comenté al inicio, la historia gira en torno a la muerte del personaje de Toni Collette, llamada Kathleen, quien supuestamente muere tras caerse de las escaleras, pero al indagar más a fondo lo sucedido, su esposo es altamente sospechoso de haberla asesinado.
And as I mentioned at the beginning, the story revolves around the death of Toni Collette's character, named Kathleen, who supposedly dies after falling down the stairs, but upon further investigation, her husband is highly suspected of having murdered her.
La serie cuenta una de esas historias en las que se te quitan las ganas de querer casarte y conocer personas porque al final te deja ese sabor agridulce de que la vida es injusta y nunca llegas a conocer realmente a alguien por más años que convivas con él o ella.
The series tells one of those stories that makes you lose the desire to get married and meet people, because in the end, it leaves you with that bittersweet feeling that life is unfair and you never really get to know someone, no matter how many years you live with them.
Desde un inicio todo se me hizo sospechoso, sobre todo el comportamiento del esposo. Por lo que la actuación de Colin Firth deslumbra en cada momento. Él es el protagonista, junto con todas sus mentiras y manipulaciones que al final te hacen dudar de decir la verdad o continuar con sus mentiras.
From the beginning, everything seemed suspicious to me, especially the husband's behavior. That's why Colin Firth's performance is dazzling in every scene. He's the protagonist, and all his lies and manipulations ultimately make you question whether to tell the truth or continue with his deceptions.
Por atraparte en una maraña de intrigas, mentiras y engaños de los cuales no logras escapar en ningún momento, de mi parte le otorgo 5 estrellas de 5 y te la recomiendo con los ojos cerrados si eres de los que les gusta este tipo de series que para algunos puede resultar ser muy hablada y de poca acción.
For trapping you in a web of intrigue, lies, and deceptions from which you can never escape, I give it 5 out of 5 stars and wholeheartedly recommend it if you enjoy this type of series, which some may find to be very talky and lacking in action.
