Celebrando mi tercer aniversario en Hive: Arte con las Manos y el Corazón【 🇪🇸 - 🇺🇸 】

Lo primero que hice fue recortar el centro de la botella, no importa si te queda desprolijo, luego le darás la forma adecuada con la tijera recortando mejor los bordes.

The first thing I did was cut out the center of the bottle; it doesn't matter if it looks messy, you'll give it the right shape later with scissors, trimming the edges better.

Ahora que lo tienes así, puedes recortar mejor los bordes superior e inferior. Si lo deseas, puedes trazar una línea con un marcador para guiarte, yo lo hice al ojo por ciento y por donde vi que quedaba bien.

Now that you have it like this, you can trim the top and bottom edges more neatly. If you want, you can draw a line with a marker as a guide; I did it freehand, just eyeballing where it looked best.

Como no tenía quien me ayudara a tomar la foto, tuve que tomarla así, primero piqué un lado, luego el otro y quedó de esa manera, todo prolijo. Luego al ojo por ciento también hice un doblez que para marcarlo bien me ayudé con la tijera.

Since I didn't have anyone to help me take the photo, I had to do it myself. First, I cut one side, then the other, and it ended up like this, all tidy. Then, just eyeballing it, I also made a fold, using scissors to help me crease it properly.

Primero doble un lado y guiándome por mi instinto doblé las otras dos puntas haciendo la forma de un triángulo o en este caso un pedazo de torta.

First, I folded one side and, guided by my instinct, I folded the other two points, making the shape of a triangle, or in this case, a piece of cake.

Otro detalle es que yo no tenía cartón corrugado. Si tú tienes la oportunidad de comprar para hacer esta manualidad, puedes usar el color que más te guste. Yo usé el color natural del cartón ya que le quité una capa para obtener el corrugado.

Another detail is that I didn't have corrugated cardboard. If you have the opportunity to buy some for this craft, you can use any color you like. I used the natural color of the cardboard since I removed a layer to create the corrugated effect.

Luego de eso, usé de plantilla el plástico doblado en forma de triángulo para sacar una base y una tapa. Cabe destacar que para este paso debes recortar uno con el lado de una cara y el otro con el lado posterior para que no obtengas dos piezas iguales.

After that, I used the folded plastic triangle as a template to cut out a base and a lid. It's important to note that for this step you should cut one piece along one side and the other along the other side so you don't end up with two identical pieces.

Aquí puedes ver mejor a lo que me refiero, marca un lado por la parte lisa y el otro por la parte corrugada. También necesitarás tres tiras de cartón corrugado. Yo las hice todas de 2 cm, pero puedes variar esta medida de acuerdo a lo grande que vayas a usar el plástico.

Here you can see better what I mean; mark one side on the smooth side and the other on the corrugated side. You'll also need three strips of corrugated cardboard. I made mine 2 cm wide, but you can adjust this measurement depending on the size of the plastic you'll be using.

Con ayuda de la pistola de silicón vas a pegar por la orilla la primera tira de cartón corrugado, por todo el borde del primer triángulo con el lado liso hacia adentro y haces lo mismo con el otro con el lado corrugado hacia adentro.

Luego con cuidado mides la base del triángulo que en este caso es el lado que tiene el corrugado hacia adentro. Si calza bien, lo pegas con silicón caliente. Para la parte superior, sólo lo usarás de tapa, no hace falta que lo adquieras al plástico.

Una vez ambas partes colocadas, toma la tercera tira de cartón corrugado y la pegas en el centro. Yo lo hice al ojo por ciento, pero puedes medirlo para hacerlo más exacto.

Using a hot glue gun, glue the first strip of corrugated cardboard along the edge of the first triangle, with the smooth side facing inward. Do the same with the other triangle, with the corrugated side facing inward.

Then, carefully measure the base of the triangle, which in this case is the side with the corrugation facing inward. If it fits well, glue it in place with hot glue. For the top part, you'll only use it as a lid; you don't need to buy the plastic one.

Once both parts are in place, take the third strip of corrugated cardboard and glue it in the center. I did it by eye, but you can measure it for more precision.

Para hacer la especie de decorado de la torta como si fuera el glaseado azucarado tomaremos un poco de pega blanca y haremos tiras de papel con el papel de ceda o papel crepé. Yo usé ambos, si tienes de colores similares, sería mejor porque hacen más contraste. En mi caso usé lo que tenía.

To create a sugared frosting effect on the cake, we'll use a little white glue and make strips of tissue paper or crepe paper. I used both; if you have similar colors, that would be better because they create more contrast. In my case, I used what I had on hand.

Yo hice cada tira de papel como de 2 cm, pero puedes hacerlas más pequeñas y la idea es pegar un poco el borde con pega blanca y dejar un espacio para recortarlo de forma fina como si fueran pestañas.

I made each strip of paper about 2 cm wide, but you can make them smaller. The idea is to glue the edge a little with white glue and leave a space to trim it thinly, like tabs.

Una vez listas las tiras, sólo queda empezar a pegar en la parte trasera del pastel, sin importar que sobre salgan un poco los bordes porque luego los vas a recortar. Haces esto con la parte de atrás y con la tapa. Quedando de la siguiente manera:

Once the strips are ready, simply start gluing them to the back of the cake. Don't worry if the edges stick out a little, as you'll trim them later. Do this for both the back and the top. It should look like this:

Ya allí se corta el excedente del papel y se le da forma con las uñas o los dedos para alborotar el papel y que quede como un betún en la torta.

Para el relleno usé otro trozo de papel crepé y lo pegué por dentro con pega blanca por los lados del cartón corrugado para que no se viera la pega. También decoré con algunas lentejuelas y las letras las hice en foami. Para la vela usé un palito de papel, pero también puedes usar un popote; le pegas un papel amarillo para simular la flama y listo, queda como resultado el siguiente:

There, the excess paper is cut off and shaped with the nails or fingers to fluff up the paper and make it look like frosting on the cake.

For the filling, I used another piece of crepe paper and glued it inside with white glue along the sides of the corrugated cardboard so the glue wouldn't show. I also decorated it with some sequins, and I made the letters out of foam. For the candle, I used a paper stick, but you can also use a straw; glue on a piece of yellow paper to simulate the flame, and that's it! The result is as follows:
