| | Pront: Sacrifice the lettuce. Today, in Venezuela, we find a worrying fact for our economy, and that is that every day the price of the blessed dollar goes up. This is due to several factors, but among them, the ones that make the most weight are sanctions, Trump's trade war policies against the world, exchange control and the bad internal economic policies of the country. The truth is that this situation often forces to make adjustments in the purchases that are made and most of all in the food, since there are certain fixed expenses, which are unalterable and that if one stops paying them, the debts will add up and end up ruining the family, call payment for services and medicines. One point that is really interesting is that this situation does not only affect Venezuela, but it is global, but, each person sees his reality and what affects him, and does not see the global reality that affects everyone, however, unlike other times, the impact of Trump's trade war is felt throughout the region and on all continents. If it is true that there may be solutions, such as the BRICS and ASEAM approach, to de-dollarize economies, break with SWIFT, with which the so-called Global West imposes economic sanctions on developing countries and other measures. It is also true that there is still a lack of technological platforms, and above all political will, to implement these processes. On the other hand, since the implementation of the Bretton Woods, the world economies began to use the dollar as a safeguard of value and have a good part or all of their economic structure linked to the dollar. Therefore, although the dollar is losing more and more power and strength in the global financial systems, it will continue to set the economic standard for many more years. This means that the economic changes that have already begun in several regions, and with new trading partners, outside the Global West and the United States of America, will be gradual but continuous. Hence Trump's threats of 150% tariffs and more on countries that try to de-prioritize their economies. However, as already demonstrated in reality, the USA does not produce even a quarter of what it needs for consumption, since to earn more money, all its industries went to third countries, looking for cheap labor, and thus creating new economic powers such as China and other commercial competitors. That means that the American economy has long ceased to be the strongest economy in the world at the productive level. And it went from being a 100% autonomous and productive economy, to being an economy based on the services area and totally dependent on third parties. But nevertheless, being the most consumerist economy in the world and hence the pressure of Trump's tariffs. On the other hand, the policy of threatening to increase tariffs of the United States government, to countries exporting raw materials and products to the USA, is as absurd as the bravado speech of its president, since in the end the payment of tariffs and increases, will be paid by the American people, who will be the most harmed by these policies. That's why, when you have to sacrifice lettuce or another product in your weekly shopping, don't be bitter, because deep down these policies of the American government are not going to last long, and even more so when the people of that country are consumed by inflation, high prices and shortages that are going to be generated by the methods of violent and neo-colonilist threats of their government. |

Unfortunately, those in the United States in support of its present policies will have to learn the hard way that "He who digs a pit falls into it." Those of us here not in support will still have to suffer along with the rest, but we will be here working for brighter days for ourselves and the world when this madness is at last over.
Hello, happy afternoon.
The important thing is that people become aware that the skills that are being taken at the political level, more than a good do a bad to the nation and the American people.
Unfortunately, in the world, people do not blame politicians for their mistakes, but always tend to attack all the people of a country.
The sad thing is that with these policies, they are creating an enormous amount of enemies and hatred, at all levels and in the different political and social spheres, of the affected countries.
It is good to know that within the United States itself, there are people who face these policies of hatred, segregation and neocolonialism.
Unfortunately, little comes out in the press about this process, one how little one knows, it's thanks to social networks and the alternative press,
Thank you very much for the comment and best wishes.

You are very welcome -- and yes, in the United States, at least 45 percent of us do not want this ... but right now, we are simply not in power. There are 55 million African Americans, for just one example, and we know what it is like to deal first-hand with the evil of this country. Those of us who are educated in the real history of the Americas know that the same evils are being practiced everywhere colonizers have ever touched. Not even all people of European descent are for this foolishness -- but in every race where the love of money has gotten a firm grip, there are some who would grind the world under for their profit, and there are many of those here. But those of us who know better are doing all we can -- it is not enough right now, but we keep trying!
The way in which you've styled your post makes it impossible to read in peakd's dark mode, just FYI :)
I can still read it if I highlight the text:
In peakd's light mode it is fine, but it hurts my eyes :)
Hello, happy afternoon.

I just checked and it is indeed not visible in the dark mode in Peadk, I'm going to warn the Ecency developers in the Disicord.
