The Key to Somewhere
I’m currently watching a series that involves time traveling and because that series has left me feeling so jolly, thanks to how good it is, it’s going to influence my response to this prompt heavily. If you’re someone that’s really into Korean films, the subject of time traveling, or being transported to different universes shouldn’t be a novelty. In fact, as portrayed in these dramas, it usually ends well.
If suddenly, a portal opens right in front of me, as a typical Nigerian, knowing she has a family that loves and cherishes her, the ideal option would be to stay where I am. Aside the very existence of townsmen who are believed to be the initiators of negative happenings in people’s lives (village people), there’s also the fact that I know nothing about the other end of the portal. However, if I found a portal, I’d definitely be going through it.

I love to satisfy my curiosity every chance I get, and as a result, I would do all I can, to get answers rather than just leave them be, and not know forever. Without knowledge of what’s at the other end, I would still take chances to go into it. If it’s a different world, I would be content knowing that I got to experience something I never thought to see in a lifetime. If that portal led to the future, I’d gladly return to never go back. If it led to the past, I’d also gladly return to never go back. The only time I’d have a different answer, is if it leads to another universe, I’d gladly have the key to return to that universe. For me, it might just be a place of respite, depending on the way of life there.
There’s something I’ve been exposed to these days - quantum leaping, and this is simply connecting to a higher version of you existing in a different universe. In quantum mechanics, there are so many versions of a person, and so many universes existing at a particular time. The fact that you want something or can imagine yourself having something, is as a result of the version of you that already exists, and owns that thing. Hence, the need for quantum leaps.

So, if there were universes existing, and a door to one of them opened up to me, I’d definitely grab the opportunity and look into it for the first time, out of curiosity. My decision to return would simply be after I’ve satisfied my curiosity. If it were a different universe, I’d love to see the version of me that exists there. I’d love to see how much she has achieved. I’d love to see who I am in that world.
At this point, maybe I should just add exploring a different universe, to my bucket list for when I’m 50, thanks to this prompt, lol. I’m going to use the portal whichever dimension it leads to. It’ll be such a huge opportunity to explore. An opportunity I’ll definitely grasp with both hands.
Thanks for reading.

If I also see a portal I will definitely want to explore it too..
Thanks for sharing
I enjoyed sharing.
Seeing a portal would want to bring about exploration but for me I would ask many questions... Great blog
I would ask too but there’s also the possibility that the answers to those questions are on the other side. I’ll definitely explore.
It does sound enticing and playful, but then it's much more deep than what we thinking of it. And for me as well, believe me, curiosity will win, cause I will definitely want to enter.
Thanks a lot for sharing.
💗
I know it’s much deeper but just like you, my curiosity would override every fear that threatens to take hold of me.
Hehehe, we are curious beings, most people would love to explore what lies in the other side. But for me, I'll stay where I am. I don't like stories that touches the heart.
lol. As much as I hate those stories too, I hate answering ‘i don’t know’, or having someone tell me that too. So, I’ll rather satisfy my curiosity.
