RE: First Impressions of Using Hive Through Linux

I've enjoyed both Mint and Ubuntu in the past. I bounce off of them because inevitably, I end up wanting to play PC games and that's often such a faff with Linux (which might just be my bad luck).

There were some features in ubuntu that I'd use on a laptop for writing, as they weren't present in Windows at that time, such as having multiple desktops you could swap between seamlessly. Now that's part of Win11, so it's less of a reason for me to migrate, but it was only in linux builds for years and can be really handy.

I'm mostly switching to Linux because Windows 11 just doesn't seem secure enough for me, and Microsoft is just getting too expensive with Office 365 etc. I have a feeling that with the amount of control and monitoring Win 11 has, it's such a prime target for hackers (and governments...) that a major data leak is only a matter of time. Plus their build-in keylogging software (which they say they've turned off... for now) means crypto keys may not be safe any more.
