When what was supposed to be fun turned the other way round.

It was a cool and sweet evening to behold, birds were coming back to their nest, people returning from work, the street was busy the compound was a little bit lively , children were running around. I was also having having in mind that later that evening we will be going for a tarry night, where I will also meet my friends that I have not met for long in church. It was a joyous evening.
All of a sudden, my neighbor's children decided to go fetch water and they went with truck filled with a lot of 25 litters that would make the truck heavy when filled with water. I was happy to embark on the journey with them, because I knew we will be playing on the road while going to fetch the water. But before I left , my mum told me not to go , but I refused. I told her I needed to also go fetch a little water that I will be using to bath. She told me there was water at home. But me wey strong head no gree listen. I followed my neighbor's children and off we go. The journey to the pump was fun as expected, we were running , playing on the road. Got to the pump, fetched the water. On our way back the story changed. That's when I remembered the adage that my people will say " uka mkpo itiehe nte unyong " ( Going somewhere, is not the same as returning ).
On our way back , the play and the fun got intensified, and they all ran left the truck alone for me to push , and immediately since I was just a little boy, I was lighter than the weight of all the 25 litters inside the truck. The weight of the truck lifted me and I hit my lower chin at the angle rod of the truck. And immediately everywhere became blur 🤣🤣🤣. When they noticed it and saw blood gushing out they started shouting and used the towel that I was to use as a rack to tied the spot. Long story cut short, we got home and it was not nice . My mum looked at me, and said to me, I told you but you refused to listen. She left me . My dad was busy shouting at me. Then at the end of the day, I was still their child, they had no choice than to take me to the pharmacy for treatment.
This was how an even that was supposed to be fun filled turned into something else.
Moral lessons : Disobedience is not good, at times our parents sees what we can't see.
Again, always be extremely careful in everything that you do.
